Would love multiple batteries in kits

Mirrorless cameras are definitely an adjustment to DSLR's but this kit was exactly what I was looking for. I do with they came with an extra battery though.

Good step up from R6 MK I

Very similar to R6 MK I Better resolution, better focusing, the eye catching is better. On indoor shooting, the low light is better.

Canon EOS R6 Mark II: Great Quality

I've been really impressed with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. It's incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive layout that works for both beginners and experienced photographers. The image quality is exceptional-sharp, vibrant, and with impressive dynamic range. That said, the camera does tend to overheat during extended use, I've only really noticed this when shooting 4K 60p video. While this can be a limitation for longer shoots, the downsampling from 6K still delivers fantastic video quality. I'm also excited to try the 6K ProRes RAW recording, but it's a bit disappointing that I can't record this directly from the USB-C cable to an SSD drive. Overall, it's a great camera for most situations, but if you're planning on shooting for extended periods, the overheating and the recording limitations might be something to consider.

A capable versatile camera for almost anything. The AF alone was worth it.

What can I say, it was between an excellent rated used R6 and a new R6 II and I'm glad I got the Mark II, it's fantastic. I have to check my recent wedding photos, I'm an amateur but I've been taking photos for many years.. I bought this mainly to replace the RP which I love the size (sort of I guess portability) of but not much else.. and I also wanted something for sports, I do a lot of HS sports and random jobs the eye AF is great, I like the features, 24mp is enough, I really like the viewfinder and controls.. I love the wheel on the back for me it's a need.. I would shoot my 1dx over the RP mainly because of controls, but also mechanical shutter speed. I shot almost all my R6 in electronic and the silent mode is awesome, customized buttons.. battery life, dual mem slots. Really this camera should last a long time and that's why I chose it specifically over the R6 which would've been sufficient in most ways.

Best Camera Upgrade

This camera has been my dream camera ever since I saw it. My first time shooting with it was with a gymnastics performance and I used it and oh my goodness, it was taking pictures like a dream. That's when I was really locked in that this was my next camera. Now that I have the camera, it is everything I've ever wanted and more. Every little thing is adjustable to the user and the quality and overall AI focus for the camera is a dream. At first the only reason I wasn't going to get this camera was because it was so expensive and as a college student I have to spend my money sparingly so figuring out if I wanted to actually buy this camera was a huge financial debate with myself. But as I use it more and see the quality with the shots I am getting I just fall in love with it more and more and realize that it really was worth it. This camera will live with me for a few years and is worth every penny.

LOVE Canon r6 Mark ii (Prefer it over r5 Mark ii)

I had a Canon r5 Mark ii, and I actually traded in it for the Canon r6 Mark ii and it was the best decision I could have made. First off, the 4K video quality is unreal, and the clarity in photos is virtually the same. But the biggest thing is, the r5 Mark ii doesn't have an internal fan, so I got warning on temperature after shooting for an hour... And so you have to buy the attachment fan (500 dollars) and it makes sound.. I have had no problems with overheating with the r6 Mark ii, because it has internal fan :) The quality is unreal, and I just LOVE IT. I mainly use it for Actor Reels and Headshot/Portrait photography and it has been a game changer. And also, the price point is soooo good for it!

Battery is non-rechargable. No replacement provided after 6 weeks.

The camera is great and is way better than my old 80D. The only gripe I have is that the battery that came with the camera is dead and cannot be recharged due to prolong storage on the shelf. I called both Canon Customer Service and Canon Purchase Department 3 separate times for a replacement, but I'm getting the run around. It has been 6 weeks and I'm told the order has been sent to the warehouse for fulfillment. How busy can you be, Canon, that you can't mail out a battery? This is totally unacceptable. If I purchase a camera and I am promised a set number of items in my order, then I accept everything to be fully functional.

lack of basic features

No ALL-I in video mode and 10-bit video is only in C-log 3 and not available in standard mode. The older Canon EOS R has ALL-I and the older Canon R5 can record in 10-bit in standard mode. Even the older Sony A7iv has 10-bit 4.2.2 in standard mode. Come on Canon, update the firmware to allow 10-bit in standard mode. We don't all like to grade. Also, doesn't have the ability to save settings to an sd card like the R5 II.

Perfect Gift - Canon R6 with "L" Zoom lens

This R6 was a gift from me to a family member. Being a life-long Canon user, currently with a 5D Mk iv, I know Canon quality is top notch and that the operating system of Canon cameras is user friendly. The R6 is loaded with features, and I know that this will be a gift appreciated for many years.

Best Investment evee!

Best investment I've ever made! I went from a Canon Rebel T7 to the Canon R6 Mark ii I love the fast autofocus, amazing, for wildlife, sport photography and of course event photography!! It works flawless with the EF lens system. I currently have the nifty fifty and the ef 16-35 F2.8L. So many features i still dive in the menu for hours looking what it can do!! I'm in love with this camera.!!

Canon Online Store return process is terrible.

The R6 Mark II was a great camera but I decided I did not want a FF over APS-C and did not like carrying two camera bodies. The Canon Online Store received my return on Friday, May 9th. I still don't have a refund almost a month later, multiple phone calls, and promises to expedite the process. This is unacceptable and terrible customer service. I will never purchase from the Canon Online Store again, my faith in your brand is weakened, and if this isn't resolved soon I will leave the Canon brand and get a new system. I'm middle-aged, no kids, no debt, and plenty of spending budget for a hobby I love. If this is how Canon is going to treat me as a customer and hold my money hostage then I'll give future dollars to another company (there are plenty out there who also make great cameras.) Have a nice day.

R6 MK II Refurbished Upgrade

After ordering this refurbished R6 MK II body, I instantly knew how much of an upgrade it was from the first gen R6. The accessibility features are next level. It did take using it a few time to adjust to some changes that were made from the first gen. If you're on the fence about upgrading or purchasing refurbished do it. You still get a quality product at a great price!

Recommended but some things to watch out for

The best camera for my situation, mainly kid's events between concerts, school events, sports, etc. The 24MP is perfect for these types of events since you need to shoot fast to capture the moment. Any higher and the SD cards wouldn't be able to keep up. Plus, why would you need more than 24MP? 24MP is huge can be printed poster size! Need to crop without losing MP? I learned to shoot better to avoid cropping. For those complaining about lock ups. I learned the hard way that the battery matters....a lot. The LP-E6NH that comes with it is a must, don't try to use your older batteries. If you need more batteries (recommended), the NH is becoming scarce, the LP-E6P designed for the R5mii works with a firmware update. No more lockups once I got the right batteries. Why? The newer bodies Canon is coming out with requires more power. The lockups can occur if you push the camera too far/fast and it simply doesn't have enough juice to do the tasks. As for autofocus issues, probably a settings issue. I've not had an issue with it so far and have shot thousands of photos of volleyball and other slower moving events. I had to pay special attention to the autofocus AI settings with subject detection. Back to battery, SD cards, and lock ups. If you don't have the right battery AND a fast enough SD card, you can lock up the R6mii. I had to upgrade to a V90 SD card capable of 300 MB/s to keep up with the burst shots. I tested this with an older battery vs an NH or P, the R6mii will turn your H+ drive mode green when you have the right battery/power to use this feature, meaning if you are low on battery with an NH or P battery, it won't reach full potential. It's the difference in around 7fps vs 40fps or a lock up. The one thing I wish this camera had: CFexpress. The burst mode is borderline too fast for SD cards. Lastly, coming from an 80D, this is a huge improvement. Love this camera and just know that it will amaze every time I pick it up. Hope this helps those shopping!

Very Happy With My Purchase

The item arrived as planned packaged safely and securely in the box. The camera body looked like it was brand new, although not in the original box as I have read on other posts. I have enjoyed using the camera with no issues and would definitely recommend purchasing refurbished equipment directly from Canon USA when it is an option.

Why would a $2,000 camera not be able to do screen mirroring off HDMI. Canon this is a HUGE disappointment because its a simple thing that can be added through an update easily. Make it make sense!

Disappointed with Canon's frequent price changes

I'm very disappointed with Canon's frequent price changes. It's not a gradual decrease or increase-instead, the price fluctuates significantly. I've been keeping an eye on the product's price even after my purchase, and just a few weeks later, it dropped by almost $500 compared to what I paid. Then it went up again, only to decrease once more.

Focusing Nightmare! Wedding photographer beware!

THE FOCUS IS AWFUL!!!! I recently upgraded to the Mark II, expecting enhanced performance for my wedding photography. Unfortunately, the autofocus was severely disappointing. As a wedding photographer, capturing fleeting moments is crucial, especially during ceremonies, and the Mark II's inconsistent focus caused me to miss key shots. This experience forced me to switch back to my reliable R6, which has consistently delivered the sharp, accurate focus I need. For anyone relying on precise autofocus in fast-paced wedding settings, I recommend sticking with the classic R6 until the Mark II's issues are resolved.

I'm Glad I Bought The R6 Mark ll

I have been very please with the auto eye detect focusing system. It does seem faster than the R5. I like the set up of the controls. Quality of the images are sharp. My original plan was to buy the R5 Mark ll and use my R5 as the back up, but I decided to buy the R6 Mark ll instead and I'm glad I did. In fact the R6 would make a fine primary camera.

About Canon EOS R6 Mark II

FEATURED REVIEWS

The mirrorless I've been waiting for.

I bought this camera to replace my 5D3. I have shot 3 Little League baseball games and I must say I am very impressed! Great, fast focus and adapts well with my EF glass. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Become a master of both stills and motion with the EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera. This bundle includes 2x LP-E6NH batteries and a 128GB memory card, providing you with all the essentials to get started. This camera's blend of high-speed performance and superior image quality allows your creativity to flourish without compromise.

The EOS R6 Mark II's groundbreaking speed and class-leading performance, coupled with professional filmmaking features, empower you to perfect your craft, regardless of your shooting style. Capture fleeting moments at an impressive 40fps, ensuring sensational image quality even in near-darkness. The AI-based, deep-learning autofocus system locks onto fast-moving subjects with ease, regardless of their position in the frame.

The EOS R6 Mark II offers uncompromised filmmaking capabilities. Full-width oversampled 4K 60p footage looks stunning, while intuitive features such as intelligent autofocus and a powerful Image Stabilizer make professional results achievable for all. The camera's next-generation deep-learning AI autofocus delivers an even more powerful performance, recognizing and tracking more subjects with greater speed, reliability, and precision than ever before.

Whether you're shooting people, animals, or vehicles, the EOS R6 Mark II has you covered. It can find and track a wide variety of subjects, from people and pets to cars, motorbikes, trains, and aircraft. The camera's autofocus system adapts as your subject moves, responding to changes in speed, direction, and pose.

The EOS R6 Mark II's In-body Image Stabilizer works in harmony with the optical IS in many Canon lenses, offering up to 8 stops of protection against camera shake when shooting handheld. This allows you to capture the beauty of movement without the need for a tripod.

The camera's 24.2-megapixel sensor delivers an ideal balance of speed, image quality, and low-light performance. The ability to focus in conditions as dark as -6.5EV is complemented by a maximum ISO 102,400 sensitivity and an Image Stabilizer that's effective up to 8 stops.

The EOS R6 Mark II is a highly connected camera, allowing you to share inspiring moments online straight from your location. It supports Bluetooth v5.0 for faster communication with smart devices and 5 GHz Wi-Fi for greater range and reliability. The camera also features dual UHS-II SD card slots, a 3.69M dot EVF for a crystal-clear view, and is water and dust resistant, allowing you to keep shooting with confidence even in challenging conditions.

With the EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera bundle, you can shoot more and worry less. The camera is compatible with existing LP-E6 series batteries and the BG-R10 battery grip, allowing you to shoot photos for 50 percent longer using standard LP-E6NH batteries. This bundle provides you with the tools you need to capture your world in stunning detail.
