The Canon R6 MKII is a very good camera. I like that it has the large screen on the back to frame your subject and I like that it still have a nice bright view finder as well. The camera takes high quality photos, we went to the Edison Ford winter estate and I took photos with it using the Canon 14-35mm f/4 L lens and the performance of the camera and this lens was very nice. This is a camera you will get some great images from.

This is my first full frame camera and so far this has been amazing. I am learning but it's already a fabulous experience. The battery lasts for long time. The camera is extremely well build. Images are crystal clear. The EV viewfinder and internal image stabilizer is a game changer for me. Very high quality videos. I simply love this camera.

I must say that Canon loses on the following points: No Battery Pack LP-E6NH available. Are you kidding me? Also, NO Battery grip is available. There is one listed, but not available. Deal breaking on both fronts. I will stick with my old R7

Great pricing & service by the Adorama sales team!!! Could have purchased anywhere but after a few calls to the sales team where they were very patient with me, it was a no-brainer!

I ordered a used Canon R6 Mark II and they had some issues with their system and kept making my order status backordered and delayed my camera like a week. It happen 3 times and I had a shoot Friday the week of writing this review and was getting upset. Lewis took care of me and promised me that I would have my camera in time. He gave me a brand new camera instead and over night shipped it and received in time. I been an Adorama customer for years and glad they was able to make it right with me despite all the issues I had trying to order this camera.

I recently upgraded to the Canon EOS R6 Mark II through Adorama, and it has exceeded every expectation. As a photographer who shoots everything from portraits and events to landscapes and wildlife, this camera truly does it all. The autofocus is lightning fast and incredibly accurate, even in challenging low light or fast-action situations. The 40 FPS burst mode feels like having a sports camera in my hands, and it's given me shots I never would have captured before. The image quality is outstanding - sharp, detailed, and with excellent dynamic range. Paired with my RF lenses, the results are simply stunning. I also appreciate the ergonomics. The body feels solid yet comfortable, with intuitive controls that make shooting natural. On top of the camera itself, Adorama made the purchase process smooth and worry-free. Their financing option was straightforward, shipping was quick, and everything arrived perfectly packaged. If you're serious about taking your photography to the next level, the R6 Mark II is worth every penny. Easily one of the best investments I've made for my craft.

Crisper photos and handy viewing. I transitioned from Canon EOS 7 D. The R6 MarkII takes much crisper photos. A handy feature is seeing in the view finder how the photo will look with current settings. I kept my lenses and purchased an adapter.

This camera is full of additional features that my 5D did not. So far I have been able to take some great indoor volleyball pictures. I did get some help with setup with a couple YouTube videos. A bit lighter than my 5D so I am hoping that it is durable.

Mirrorless cameras are definitely an adjustment to DSLR's but this kit was exactly what I was looking for. I do with they came with an extra battery though.

Very similar to R6 MK I Better resolution, better focusing, the eye catching is better. On indoor shooting, the low light is better.

I've been really impressed with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. It's incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive layout that works for both beginners and experienced photographers. The image quality is exceptional-sharp, vibrant, and with impressive dynamic range. That said, the camera does tend to overheat during extended use, I've only really noticed this when shooting 4K 60p video. While this can be a limitation for longer shoots, the downsampling from 6K still delivers fantastic video quality. I'm also excited to try the 6K ProRes RAW recording, but it's a bit disappointing that I can't record this directly from the USB-C cable to an SSD drive. Overall, it's a great camera for most situations, but if you're planning on shooting for extended periods, the overheating and the recording limitations might be something to consider.

What can I say, it was between an excellent rated used R6 and a new R6 II and I'm glad I got the Mark II, it's fantastic. I have to check my recent wedding photos, I'm an amateur but I've been taking photos for many years.. I bought this mainly to replace the RP which I love the size (sort of I guess portability) of but not much else.. and I also wanted something for sports, I do a lot of HS sports and random jobs the eye AF is great, I like the features, 24mp is enough, I really like the viewfinder and controls.. I love the wheel on the back for me it's a need.. I would shoot my 1dx over the RP mainly because of controls, but also mechanical shutter speed. I shot almost all my R6 in electronic and the silent mode is awesome, customized buttons.. battery life, dual mem slots. Really this camera should last a long time and that's why I chose it specifically over the R6 which would've been sufficient in most ways.

This camera has been my dream camera ever since I saw it. My first time shooting with it was with a gymnastics performance and I used it and oh my goodness, it was taking pictures like a dream. That's when I was really locked in that this was my next camera. Now that I have the camera, it is everything I've ever wanted and more. Every little thing is adjustable to the user and the quality and overall AI focus for the camera is a dream. At first the only reason I wasn't going to get this camera was because it was so expensive and as a college student I have to spend my money sparingly so figuring out if I wanted to actually buy this camera was a huge financial debate with myself. But as I use it more and see the quality with the shots I am getting I just fall in love with it more and more and realize that it really was worth it. This camera will live with me for a few years and is worth every penny.

I had a Canon r5 Mark ii, and I actually traded in it for the Canon r6 Mark ii and it was the best decision I could have made. First off, the 4K video quality is unreal, and the clarity in photos is virtually the same. But the biggest thing is, the r5 Mark ii doesn't have an internal fan, so I got warning on temperature after shooting for an hour... And so you have to buy the attachment fan (500 dollars) and it makes sound.. I have had no problems with overheating with the r6 Mark ii, because it has internal fan :) The quality is unreal, and I just LOVE IT. I mainly use it for Actor Reels and Headshot/Portrait photography and it has been a game changer. And also, the price point is soooo good for it!

The camera is great and is way better than my old 80D. The only gripe I have is that the battery that came with the camera is dead and cannot be recharged due to prolong storage on the shelf. I called both Canon Customer Service and Canon Purchase Department 3 separate times for a replacement, but I'm getting the run around. It has been 6 weeks and I'm told the order has been sent to the warehouse for fulfillment. How busy can you be, Canon, that you can't mail out a battery? This is totally unacceptable. If I purchase a camera and I am promised a set number of items in my order, then I accept everything to be fully functional.

No ALL-I in video mode and 10-bit video is only in C-log 3 and not available in standard mode. The older Canon EOS R has ALL-I and the older Canon R5 can record in 10-bit in standard mode. Even the older Sony A7iv has 10-bit 4.2.2 in standard mode. Come on Canon, update the firmware to allow 10-bit in standard mode. We don't all like to grade. Also, doesn't have the ability to save settings to an sd card like the R5 II.

This R6 was a gift from me to a family member. Being a life-long Canon user, currently with a 5D Mk iv, I know Canon quality is top notch and that the operating system of Canon cameras is user friendly. The R6 is loaded with features, and I know that this will be a gift appreciated for many years.

Best investment I've ever made! I went from a Canon Rebel T7 to the Canon R6 Mark ii I love the fast autofocus, amazing, for wildlife, sport photography and of course event photography!! It works flawless with the EF lens system. I currently have the nifty fifty and the ef 16-35 F2.8L. So many features i still dive in the menu for hours looking what it can do!! I'm in love with this camera.!!

The R6 Mark II was a great camera but I decided I did not want a FF over APS-C and did not like carrying two camera bodies. The Canon Online Store received my return on Friday, May 9th. I still don't have a refund almost a month later, multiple phone calls, and promises to expedite the process. This is unacceptable and terrible customer service. I will never purchase from the Canon Online Store again, my faith in your brand is weakened, and if this isn't resolved soon I will leave the Canon brand and get a new system. I'm middle-aged, no kids, no debt, and plenty of spending budget for a hobby I love. If this is how Canon is going to treat me as a customer and hold my money hostage then I'll give future dollars to another company (there are plenty out there who also make great cameras.) Have a nice day.

After ordering this refurbished R6 MK II body, I instantly knew how much of an upgrade it was from the first gen R6. The accessibility features are next level. It did take using it a few time to adjust to some changes that were made from the first gen. If you're on the fence about upgrading or purchasing refurbished do it. You still get a quality product at a great price!

The best camera for my situation, mainly kid's events between concerts, school events, sports, etc. The 24MP is perfect for these types of events since you need to shoot fast to capture the moment. Any higher and the SD cards wouldn't be able to keep up. Plus, why would you need more than 24MP? 24MP is huge can be printed poster size! Need to crop without losing MP? I learned to shoot better to avoid cropping. For those complaining about lock ups. I learned the hard way that the battery matters....a lot. The LP-E6NH that comes with it is a must, don't try to use your older batteries. If you need more batteries (recommended), the NH is becoming scarce, the LP-E6P designed for the R5mii works with a firmware update. No more lockups once I got the right batteries. Why? The newer bodies Canon is coming out with requires more power. The lockups can occur if you push the camera too far/fast and it simply doesn't have enough juice to do the tasks. As for autofocus issues, probably a settings issue. I've not had an issue with it so far and have shot thousands of photos of volleyball and other slower moving events. I had to pay special attention to the autofocus AI settings with subject detection. Back to battery, SD cards, and lock ups. If you don't have the right battery AND a fast enough SD card, you can lock up the R6mii. I had to upgrade to a V90 SD card capable of 300 MB/s to keep up with the burst shots. I tested this with an older battery vs an NH or P, the R6mii will turn your H+ drive mode green when you have the right battery/power to use this feature, meaning if you are low on battery with an NH or P battery, it won't reach full potential. It's the difference in around 7fps vs 40fps or a lock up. The one thing I wish this camera had: CFexpress. The burst mode is borderline too fast for SD cards. Lastly, coming from an 80D, this is a huge improvement. Love this camera and just know that it will amaze every time I pick it up. Hope this helps those shopping!

The mirrorless I've been waiting for.
By Shawn K.
I've had the R6-II for about 5 days now, coming from a 6D-II. It's been a steep learning curve, as the AF system does so much. But I've snapped about 500 shots with it so far, and it's been flawless. It's everything I hoped it would be, and then some. I find that, though complex, I have enough flexibility in button and dial assignments to configure the camera for optimum flexibility and speed of use. I'm very pleased with everything about it, but more importantly, I'm very impressed with the ...
