I love this camera. I upgraded from a Canon M50 and M50 mark II. Could never get great photos of birds in flight. I can with this camera. Has taken my photography to another level. Yes, I would buy it again. Came packaged well and fast shipping. Takes a little getting used to, but works great. Thank you.

Potential to be a great camera combo for birds and wildlife. There is a steep learning curve for a newbie to mirrorless technology. I am on my third iteration of settings working to get the animal eye focus to work and finally today I see some results paying off. This camera and lens combo is a great size, has all the functions you could want in an APS-C camera. The images are detailed and the colors vibrant. I know in time I am going to grow to love this camera.

I moved from an EOS 80D to the EOS R7. At first it was a bit difficult because of the difference in the control layout. As time goes on I have become more accustomed to the new layout and becoming more proficient in obtaining the outcomes I am seeking. Save for the control orientation, the camera performs beyond my expectations. Quick focus, even with the adapter and my EF lenses. I look forward to becoming more competent with the camera taking many more pictures. Very pleased with my purchase.

Extremely impressed with the condition of this camera. This was was second refurbished purchase from Canon, the first one was a 40mm EF Lens for my T6i, and was equally impressive. The camera arrived in a brown box, with everything wrapped separately in plastic bags. The camera had a minor smudge on the back of the screen, and that was about it. Took me about 2 milliseconds to wipe it off. After testing the basic functions and options of the camera, I took about 12 to 15 random pictures to see if everything was working as it should be and it all did. While going through options afterwards, I realized that there is a built-in shutter count in the options now, which was not present in my t6i. After my random pictures, the counter was at 28 shutters, meaning the camera originally had around 15 pictures taken before it was sent to me. I was not expecting the shutter count to be this low, but I will gladly take it. All in all, so far, I have zero complaints. Hopefully soon I will be able to go out and take some pictures, just waiting for the weather to warm up a little.

I love the maneuverable screen, it's quite helpful for those odd angles. Auto focus is fast and reaction time is snappy.

I received this kit for Christmas to replace my Canon 7D and after using it for a bit, thinking about returning it and going a different route. While it shoots great pics not sure I want to spend even more money on the lenses that go with it. The adapter works pretty good and only time will tell if it's worth it but I have over $14k in lenses and not ready to replace them with newer lenses for the mirrorless camera. Also, I have fairly large hands and the camera is just so darn small that I almost dropped it several times. The work around is a grip like I have for my 7D however for some reason Canon decided NOT to make a grip for the R7. I feel like I'm going backwards instead of forward using Canon cameras. When you compare the two R7 vs. 7D I feel like I get a bigger bang for my buck than with a R7. Feels like and looks like a toy.

Enjoying the camera, which can be a challenge with all the shooting options available or simple if you just leave it on automatic. I have chosen the former over the ladder.

I got this 13 months ago and have taken over 100,000 shots with the RF 100-500 And a Few 1,000 more with the RF 800 f11. Best Camera I have had for All Wildlife. I have had Canon 10D, 20D, 40D, 70D and 90D. They were all good but R7 is easier to use, Light weight and easy to hand hold. The fast focusing in all modes it super for birds inflight.

I take a lot of wildlife photos to post on Instagram and Facebook. I'm loving this camera, I'm older and it's not heavy to use. I really enjoy the size and weight of it with the 100-400 lens.

I am a realtor and shoot my own listings, and can do so fairly well, but don't need anything more from my device that this.. My 5 year old EOS M50 shutter started going bad and I was unsure what to do.. spend the 4-6k on the fancy models or just go up a step or so. I got this just last night and shot some low light stills of my house and let me say, I am SO happy I just moved up to this step.. I didn't even do anything with the settings and already the photos look good enough for uploading WITHOUT the normal edits I pay a service for... Can't wait to keep using and learning more with this. A great buy!

I bought this lens as a direct upgrade for my aging 80D. I wanted to make the change to mirrorless and 4K in one go as my video recording needs kept requiring more. I was used to APS-C sensors and wanted a similar camera focus on video with 2 SD slots. That's why I purchased my R7 and I've been happy with my decision for the past 6 months. It has gotten me back into taking photos as well.

I've had this camera a couple of months now, and I love it! I upgraded from a DSLR 80D to the R7, and I use the Control Ring Mount Adapter for my EF70-300mm lens. The feature to track and lock on the eyes of birds is really amazing, and was the main reason I purchased the camera. I'm more of a hobbyis and I'm very happy with this camera. There's still a lot for me to learn, but I'm definitely out shooting more now that I have this one. It's also about the same weight as my 80D, I was really expecting it to be lighter after all the reading I was doing on mirrorless cameras, but it's not. The adapter also adds some weight to it as well, I'm just throwing that out there in case that's an issue for you. The benefits outweigh the cons for me.

Really wish i didn't have to do this. The camera itself Im enjoying. But they didnt ship everything in the kit, and I've now contacted customer services three times and still no response. It's a cheap $8 lens cover... not a huge deal. But Canon refusing to give me what I paid for and refusing to answer my emails... thats a very bad look for a company. I certainly can't recommend this to anyone else.

I upgraded to the R7 mirrorless from a T7i DSLR and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm still learning all the great features of the R7, but it's a powerhouse for a camera at that price point. I was hesitant about buying a refurbished, but the price directly through Canon with the lens kit was too good to pass up. Not only did I receive the camera within two days of ordering it, but upon careful inspection one would never know it was refurbished. Looks absolutely brand new and functions perfectly and has Canon warranty.

Camera arrived in great condition, but appears to still have issues with autofocus. Even with EF L lenses. Will probably send the camera back for servicing.

Have moved up through the years with Canon APC cameras from the Rebel to now, my first mirrorless camera. I use this camera for macrophotography with my go-to Canon 100mm L. Excellent features of the R7 with focus bracketing and stacking. Dual SD cards are a great feature. The only down side would be not being able to use flash with focus bracketing and the hand grip is a bit too small. I bought an aftermarket bottom piece that makes the camera perfect! A great camera for the price, and functionality. Highly recommended!

I ordered a Canon R7 mirrorless camera from Adorama because they had the best deal at the time. It was the same price as other places but they included a 64 GB Sandisk memory card. I already own another R7 so I know it's a great camera for my needs. This second camera is for another lens that I recently purchased so I don't have to keep switching back and forth. The new camera works great and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I am really loving this camera! Autofocus advancements are amazing compared to my EOS 6D. Controls are more intuitive than the EOS R5 (to me). I use this for a personal camera and video is very important to me. I prefer Canon color science over Sony and Black Magic and that was the deciding factor for me. Plus, I get to continue using my LP-E6 batteries!

I've had this camera with the RF 100-400 f/5.6-8 IS lens for about five months. I've made some wonderful images. The combination is lightweight, the image quality is superb, and I love all the pixels. My problem is with the AF. Sometimes it's superb but other times it focuses where it wants to, not where I want it to. And it has great trouble acquiring focus on small objects when fully zoomed out (400 mm). So I have to acquire focus at 100 mm then zoom in. I miss a lot of shots that way. So I recommend it but with major reservations. If you expect flawless AF you're going to get very frustrated.

Great Camera

Only had it a few days and haven't taken many photos but already know its going to be a great one. I have two R5s which are incredible cameras with fantastic autofocus. I traded a Sony a6000 in for the R7. Got lucky, store had a waiting list for body only but had a couple of Rs w 18-150 lens in stock so I got it! WOW such a nice and compact package but powerful. Speed and focus are similar to the R5 in a smaller package. I take long motorcycle trips and am vey tight on space. This came...

Canon R7 review
By Bob 2.
I am a professional portrait and event photographer. I am very pleased with the sharpness and overall quality of the images produced by this camera, even with a Canon ef to r adapter and several canon ef lenses. The motor drive is lightning fast and the camera is very easy to use. In my opinion the quality of the images produced by thr r7 is equal to that of the r6.
Canon is back with the EOS R7. With a new APS-C sensor on the revolutionary RF mount, you get a telephoto effect of approximately 1.6x while maintaining high resolution. This mirrorless camera also comes with robust In-Body Image Stabilization of up to 8 stops and shoots up to 30 frames per second.
