I love Canon products. When I purchased my Canon Rebel DSLR, I also bought this inexpensive Canon tripod specifically to use with that Rebel. However, the tripod head will not stay locked and continuously slips when my Canon EF-S 18-200mm lens is attached to my Rebel and clamped onto the tripod. But, this lens is NOT a particularly heavy lens. It seems that a combination of my Canon Rebel camera and ANY of my Canon lenses placed on the tripod causes the head to slip, and the tripod is very top-heavy and subject to tipping over. That is not a comfortable feeling when you have relatively expensive equipment mounted on this tripod. Summary: The Canon Deluxe Tripod 200 should be considered best suited for use only with very light weight equipment attached.

Outer construction is good and sturdy but a main part the gear inside the winding part to adjust the height that acts as a grip is really cheap and broke within couple of usages and now the entire tripod is waste becuase of the cheap plastic gears inside!!! Do not buy a tripod with windind mechanism to adjust height.

I did review all of them and still I bought it. I like because is very easy to used but if you really want a professional one don't try this one. because the first thing is that 1- It won hold your lens weight 2- It is not possible to crop your space

Our budget was tight so we bought three of these tripods for our shop. They are nicer than than the ones we were replacing, in that they're considerably lighter and lock down much easier. But the heads require finagling to get them level, and they jiggle considerably, especially with heavy, long lenses; I can handhold with more stability than this tripod can. This tripod is best for short focal lengths and brief exposures, like for delayed exposures (i.e., when the photgrapher wants in the picture, too).

The Canon Deluxe Tripod 200 is a good product that is lightweight, and sturdy enough for most cameras. It is easy to fold up and use. I typically take photos in a variety of environments and tend to move around a lot to get a variety of different shots; this tripod, though simple, makes it quite simple to do so. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys photography on any level.

i use a lot of night vision, and long range lens's, these get heavy on the tilt pan head of the tripod, and it starts to move, or bend over time. the pastic head also has that plasticy spring to it, so it's kind of hard to adjust, and the tightening lever needs to go tighter and tigher every time. but i do realy like the way the legs extend and lock in place so easy.
