I'm not sure why there's a reference to white, since the lens is black.ANDREW R : This unit is a genuine Canon replacement part. It is only available in white.
Shopper : Will this work with the older non IS version of the EF 100 2.8 USM lens?PANOS G : It should but cannot be sure. As the main feature is the attachement to the lens through pressure. As long as the old lens has a similar diameter to the new lens. My suggestion: take your lens to Adorama, ask for the mount ring and see if it fits.JAMES B : The Tripod Mount Ring 'D' is for the EF 100mm F/2.8L IS USM Macro only and is not compatible. The tripod mount for the EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro USM is the Tripod Mount Ring 'B' and is the same mounting ring for the 180mm F3.5L Macro USM and for the MP-E 65mm F/2.8 1-5x Macro.ANDREW R : Unfortunately no, Canon specifies compatibility only with the EF 100 F/2.8L Macro IS USM.

Perfect fit!

The tripod mount works great, making changes between lenses much easier with the same foot mount. The only issue I have is getting it off! You have to line up some pins and slots that you can't see to remove it. I just leave it on all the time so not a major problem.
