Made of rough scratchy canvas

I demoed this several months ago with a friend who uses one on his D4. It was soft and very comfortable. There was no canvas to skin contact at all. It was soft leather type material. I ordered the cotton carrier on May 11 when It arrived they had apparently changed its construction. It is now canvas with rough stitching. The main part of the pad that is next to my skin is now very rough and uncomfortable.
