The Personal Solar Telescope (P.S.T.) is a Coronado innovation. The world's most popular telescope to observe the Sun. This 40mm diameter highly portable dedicated solar telescope features a superior 0.5 Angstrom bandpass for increased surface detail. The PST is a great scope for the price. I've been able to see prominences as well as surface features on the sun. The built in finder works well for keeping the sun centered in the view.

Great for viewing flares, prominences, filaments and sun spots. Lightweight and easy to use. A great scope for the beginner or intermediate astronomer that wants to get serious with their observing.

Great Scope!

Purchased one for my son who is a science teacher - his students really appreciate the detail they see on the closest star to Earth - built in finder helps locate Sun in field of view quickly - easy to set up for quick views or extended viewing sessions - pairs well with your favorite alt-az mount with slow-motion cables to keep the Sun centered in the field of view.

Excelllent starter

Well packaged from factory. I saved $80 by NOT buying the factory hard case but went to Harbor Freight and buying a 22" stainless steel tool box and trimmed the excess foam from the factory packing. Fit perfectly. Stellar photography is easy. Prominences are amazing easy to view.
