Perfect for the office
Wonderful little desk knife. I keep this in my office at work for packages, loose threads, and any other small task. Sharp out of the box and ready to go!

Nice little blade, great for most tasks.
Nice blade. It comes pretty sharp, with a little stropping I was able to shave hair off my arm. Practice opening it carefully because your thumb gets really close to the blade edge. It's so pretty I almost don't want it rubbing up against my keys in my pocket.

Perfect slim pocket size.
The knife has a perfect slim pocket design, single hand operation and very positive case locking mechanism. The only downfall is it has NO pocket/money clip. Full on 5 stars if I don't have to fish it out of the bottom of my pocket.

Great little knife!
Love this little knife. Small and compact, easily fits in the 5th pocket. Like the shape of the blade. Great for cutting open mail or boxes! Great price too!!

Overall it's a decent every day carry. Obviously based on its diminutive size its use is most suitable for opening packages, etc. (light duty tasks). I always carry a pocket knife and this one is great for when you don't want a bulkier one. I was a little bummed out that the cutting edge was not ground straight and that the tip was bent.

Worth the buy but an EDC
Great size for an in pocket carry knife, blade not great for practical everyday use. Fun to have and blade is more comparable to a razor blade.

Precisely made, sturdy, smooth operation
Surprising little knife that thinks it's much larger than it is. The opening and closing are smooth (after a drop of oil and the lock-open is sturdy and sure. I can open it with my right hand only, but closing takes some practice, and I can't do a thing with just my left hand. The materials, fit, and operation of the FX175 are outstanding.

Newer version sucks, pick this one
After purchasing the model years ago, I have been looking for a store that carried this one. I have been disappointed for years since the "wonderful" K-Mart closed prior to discontinueing this model. It's the perfect little small blade for the pocket.

Good things often come in small packages. This statement holds true here. The blade is of typical strength and holds its edge reasonably well. It lacks a clip and is not as easy to open with one hand as most other knives.

Cool little knife. Bare bones, simple and solid. Quality craftsmanship. Great for a guy like me that can't stand a heavy knife in my pocket. Not having much of a handle to hold on to feels dangerous, but I have yet to cut myself. Taking it out and opening and closing it one-handed is one of my right hand's favorite pastimes.
