Definitely a 5 Star for customer service - I had an identical model that I had used twice in the field. After one outing I was oiling and wiping down the knife I attempted to close it, but it was locked in place. I noticed a small piece of metal loose within the frame - it fell out and the knife would now close, but no longer had the double locking mechanism. Contacted Coast and BAM! - a new knife was on its way. This is my EDC for hunting - always attached to my pack. Sharp as a razor, great color, and well-made.

I am very pleased with this knife. The liner is solid, scales are great, blade steel is very acceptable and the Double Lock is a fantastic feature. It is a superb tool at this price point. I have the DX357 as well. Another great tool. Nicely done, COAST !!

This is a great knife, the action is a little stiff, but oil and use will fix that! I really like the double lock.

I've been carrying the DX356 for the past year. It is a very solid knife. It is larger and heavier than any of my past carry choices and the blade is thicker. This was intentional as I snapped a previous knife in half trying to use it to lever an arrow out of a 4x4. (Not my best shot. Not my best day. I am not gentle with this knife. Over the past year, I have broken down countless boxes, used it to dig out arrows, sometimes used it as a hammer. It has been resharpened many times, washed many times, oiled infrequently and still looks almost exactly like when I got it. The blade is a maybe fraction looser, but you have to look hard to notice. The pocket clips are vastly improved over early coast models. Lastly to the guy who didn't like the color, it's flat dark earth, not baby diaper. Someone get that man to the ophthalmologist.

I bought this last year and eased its way through anything I had to cut. Holds edge well and is very sharp. The double lock system was a great feature and gives a peace of mind when using aggressively. Sadly I lost this knife a few months back but am looking forward to buying another asap!

This is my daily driver. Travels the world with me & doesn’t disappoint! Strong & durable, stays sharp, the belt clip screws tend to get loose on occasion but a quick tighten & its back on the belt. I’ve kept a lot of knives but this is the first folding that kept up to my full tangs. I did have a lock peg break off but coast replaced it free of charge. Great customer service! Thanks coast

Got this knife for Christmas in my stocking and I gotta say it’s one of the better knives I’ve held very good quality for the price couldn’t be happier

Its a great at in itself, and at what it costs, i believe there is no better alternative at this price point, quality is great. No blade play whatsoever, lock is strong and quite secure. There is some flex in lower front part of knife however thats really small and dosent effect the knife performance at all. The steel holds a good edge and is quite resistant to rust.

Heavy duty,very thick steel liners.In fact the lock-bar is almost as thick as the blade. Locks up tight,especially when the double lock is used.The blade could be thicker, but is easy to sharpen. Needs another stand-off between the liners,there is some flex in the rear.There are not any cut-outs on the steel liners,and I applaud that. Very good knife.

Just got my dx356. Well worth more than what you guys charged and I've never been happier to pay for shipping or taxes! So smooth. Bigger than I though makes me feel like a real bad ass! I found my knife company... I'll never buy anything other than a COAST!
