Good Replacement part
After several years of steady use the switch on my flashlight gave out. It finally occurred to me to see if I could get a replacement cap/switch instead of buying a new flashlight and I was happy to find this part at a reasonable price (under $10 after paying shipping). Put it on the flashlight and it works fine. After this experience I'll look for Coast products in the future.

The push cover on the tail cap was coming apart, I ordered a new one and it was shipped quickly and free. New tail cap works great. Thanks Coast!

G20 perfect
The g20 is awesome I use it all the time under the hood mostly and around the house. But this light is perfect for detecting small leaks. The light has no haze so finding tiny leaks is easy ive had mine for a long time my tail cap started giveing me problems so I called customer service they're sending me a new one free they also asked me if the light was bad cuz if it was they whould send me a new g20 I told them no my buddy has one so I just used his tail cap and my light work fine so for there customer service 10/10.
And for the negative reviews on this light u people are just wrong cant beat the performance and price and there lifetime warranty.

HP3R Tail Caps
I bought 3 new tail Caps and all 3 were defective. Returned them 11/9/24 ,still waiting for replacements 8 days.

Can't really share a review as this item did not work, I ordered 2 tailcaps to fix a broken light, it did not fix the issue. The tailcaps also did not work with a light that already works. Coast replaced the 2 faulty caps with 2 more and these did not work as well. For some reason this cap turns the light on in 1 mode SUPER DUPER HIGH, that is all no hi med low, just incredibly high so high that the light starts smoking and when a temp gun is pointed at the tip it registers 130 degrees. I can't complain to much as the broken light was warrantied by coast and I was just trying to bring it back to life. But why the caps do not work with a light that is perfectly fine is beyond me. Oh yeah and if I put the tailcap from the working light on the the previously broken one it works just fine. This is the reason I purchased new tailcaps in the first place.

Glad Coast makes replacement parts. After years of daily use the only part that wore out was the tailcap.

New switch for an old light.
Just what I needed to revive my Coast flashlight. Bought it at Wal Mart about 8, 9 years ago. Was my EDC light until replaced by a Coast PX22. Anyway, the new switch solved the intermittent problems I was having. I still use the old light around the house daily. I really like this light, very glad to revive it.

Poor quality product
After four months of use, the tail cap switch assembly spontaneously fell off the main flashlight body. I spoke with the Coast warranty department, and they sent me a replacement switch. It installed easily enough, but now the light turns on perhaps one out of every four attempts. On top of that, it no longer has three brightness settings, only one-when it works at all.

works great
I'm happy to have my light working again, the cap button went bad again and when i replaced the cap the original cap was no longer available, and would not charge so i gave up on getting a cap, then I decided to purchase another cap, this one works good and charges good, I have used this one for the last 8 years this like as I am a forklift tech, it work great for all the tight spaces Its even been ran over by a lift, only problem is the button goes bad after about a year and tears then i have to turn it on with a pen and starts to flicker I have had to replace the cap multiple times, my eyes need the extra bright light. great light. if you could replace just the button that would be great not the whole cap.

Didn't work
Read the other reviews that said the replacement cap didn't work on the older A25R. I have contacted service with a return email saying COAST is 15 days behind.

Works. No Problem at all.
Replaced the original cap that came with my G20. The rubber seal blew up. That is right. Somehow some gas got generated inside the G20, maybe from the battery, but the alkaline batteries showd no sign of deterioration and were still working right after the incident. I clip the G20 on my t-shirt right next to my neck and below my chin.
