I've had this knife for 5 years or so now, and I am impressed every day with it. The blade is thick and sturdy. It easily opens with a flick of a wrist, and has a VERY satisfying click when it snaps open. The lock is tough and has a great spring to it, and nice it has a double lock feature. The handle is very comfortable, and I love that is has a glass breaker. I keep one in my car for emergencies. I love the weight and overall dimensions of the knife. It holds an edge pretty well. I only wish that the double lock mechanism would also keep the blade shut when not being used. Other than that, this is probably my favorite knife I've owned from Coast. And knowing they are made locally and have already serviced my flashlights promptly and without cost or question is amaze. Love this company, highly recommended to everyone.

I purchased the Coast TX395 two months ago. So new that I don't even have scratches or visual wear from use yet. I am satisfied with the quality of the knife but the clip recently snapped. I'm not even sure on what or how. That's how easily it broke. Maybe it's my luck that I received a "lemon" regarding the quality of the clip and others may be just fine. Just putting it out there as something to possibly expect or base your decision on because I did not.

Coast has some the best products on the market. Everyone who borrows my knife, is totally in wow. That is the best knife ever, they say. Packed with a great customer service as well as warranty, you just cant go wrong.

Love the knife. It has all the features needed for a duty knife. The only thing I don?t care too much about it is that it?s a little too bulky to carry in my jeans or casual wear, but that?s not really a downfall since I bought it for work.

This knife is absolutely perfect! I have a lot of tactical fighting knives from Spyderco, Kershaw, browning black label and boker, but this tops them all. This knife is amazing for the money. Actually when you consider the quality, structure and thought that went into this knife, it's on par with Spyderco. That's right for less than $60.00 you can have a awesome knife that is on the level of $200 knives.

In so many ways, this knife nailed it for me; Thick tang and back give it lots of strength. Weight and thickness in the hand feel solid and sturdy. Movable belt clip allows for quick access, huge thumb notch for quick opening. Second lock for safe and confident use. textured tiles for a solid grip (I wear a size large in gloves and the handle is perfect for me). Smooth and precise open/snap into place for a quality feel. Good steel that holds a very sharp edge. In all, this knife is my new every day. I have collected many knives over the years and just gave a few of my old favorites to my kids since this will be replacing them. That said, the knife and cost are way above expectation. I may purchase another as a backup in case I loose the one I have. My only suggestion to Coast would be solid handle tiles. It sounds like these are hallow when I tap them, and I do not care about a little more weight on the knife. I really don't like too light a tool.

Definitely a heavy duty knife, feels good in hand, can open easy enough with one hand for such a large knife, i like a heavy knife, this is the ultimate, i do carry this knife along with a lighter knife, i carry several different lighter knives, mostly the dx309 which i've carried for several years and made me a coast knife fan, the tx395 is of great quality, has a better grade steel blade that is thick and robust, will handle tough jobs like a fixed blade, may be a little big and heavy for some but for me its the one.

This knife is truly awesome. I had an older (discontinued Coast knife lose a clip screw and was sent this as a full replacement within a week. I am very pleased with the quality of this knife. The thick blade makes great for chopping, the handle is comfortable and the 3 clip locations allows for carrying in both front or back pockets. Will absolutely be picking up another in the near future to leave in the truck.

I bought two of these heavy-duty knives.The blade can be sharpened ,by a Lansky mini-crock to a razor edge! The locking liner is thick and has a very strong tension to it .You notice this when you unlock the liner to fold it. The locking liner locks itself in the middle of the blade.Perfect.This is my favorite liner lock.It holds an edge well.

Wow! What an attack dog of a folding knife. Extreme high quality and high strength. The handle is very secure and comfortable, and the blade is THICK for strength. Thanks to the four position attachment locations for the pocket clip, I carry this in my back pocket because of its weight. This is a super heavy duty folder that can do the job of a medium size fixed blade.
