My sons and I hunt ducks and geese. That means lots of pre-dawn hours. My youngest son has tried all the "high-end" headlamps, My oldest inherits his cast-off, but the best headlamp we've run across is the Coast FL75. The adjustable wide beam is great for finding the "where the heck did that fall off" stuff, the full focused high beam works great to look to the side while riding our ATV to the blind, and the red and green lights provide just enough illumination to get stuff squared away in the blind... the red and green lights work well to see In our trailer at night without blinding anyone when the lights are off also. I also use mine for homeowner and auto repairs. Having a light directed right where you're looking is invaluable. I'm considering putting a couple dabs of dielectric grease on the contacts and batteries to slow down any corrosion, but otherwise the FL75 is a winner in my book! Please don't "upgrade" this light to rechargeable only.. sometimes batteries are the only source of available power. Comfortable strap, great illumination options, very rugged, battery operated (with a rechargeable option), the FL75 is a great value.

I have had several head lamps. I like this battery operated one. I have been under a house, in a tight space, only to have my rechargeable lamp go dead. You have to stop to allow it to recharge. With the battery operated one you pop in new batteries and your ready to proceed. The head band is comfortable and stays in place. It breaths so you do sweat as much under it. It doesn't weigh a lot, but that is no reflection on how well it is made.

i bought this as it looks like a good price for a decent product. The focus beam would be a nice feature for work. i have Black Diamond 500 and a Petzl 600 lumen for home. When i got home i tested the bright feature on the Coast compared to the Petzl. The Coast at brightest mode (700) is similar at Petzls medium mode and surpassed at 600 Lumens. Has three tilt options while the Petzl has 9. i would compare this closer to Black diamond (although they have the dimming feature so you can select brightness on a sliding scale). Waterproof edge is razor thin but looks tight. A bit dissapointed since i bought specifically for the brightness to replace my black diamond fpr work. The tilt feature is minimal. The focusing feature might be the best part of it.

Everything I wanted in a Headlamp. The adjustable lens is great for all applications I could ever need. I have already used the Headlamp quite a bit, including the red and geen leds. I was impressed by the green light as it keeps the bugs out of my face at night and camping. Highly recommend.

Definitely like the updated styling. Headband is rubber coated as to hold onto whatever you mount it onto. Hardhat baseball cap. Hiking helmet. Bright like. And now offer rechargeable batteries

I purchased this $50 on sale for $20. I have used the headlamp for two months. The main light is bright (width, depth, and throw) at 500 lumens. However the red and green light when "on" have a blinding glare, visible to your peripheral vision, that renders these headlamps 'night vision' colored led bulbs useless. My purpose was to use the red/green light as much or most than the main white light. I would NEVER pay $50 for this type headlamp, given this experience. And yes, I have read all the reviews on this site, Amazon and watched YouTube videos about this headlamp. This is a poor design flaw.

I had a Coast Headlamp for many years. I wrote to them recently when I discovered the green LED was failing to turn off. This resulted in a battery drain that would kill a fresh set of batteries in a few days. They honored their lifetime warrantee with only a few questions asked, and sent this new model. That was a great customer experience. And the new model has some obvious upgrades: the elastic is reflective, which feels like a safety improvement; the buttons are easier to "feel" which is important because when you're using it, it's on your head and you can't exactly see the buttons; and it now defaults to medium bright when you turn it on, which is usually plenty bright enough.

I bought this because I had an old Coast light that still worked. I've bought several, for more money and less, that just don't hold up. Coast did, and I assume this new one will also hold up. It seems to be essentially the same light.

I've bought many lights and a couple other items from Coast, and over 7 years layer I still have them all. I've had issue with lower dollar amount headlight once but one email to Coast and it was resolved without question. Which brings me to my currant situation with the other one of the 2 pack I purchased over 7 years ago from coast, it's been everywhere with me and never failed till it did. So another call to coast and they upgraded me without hesitation or question. Sure is nice knowing you bought a quality product that stands by its lifetime guarantee. If only all companies were like Coast. Will always buy my gifts from them for family n friends!!!!

Received this while ago. I have several but needed one for the truck. So much easier to work without a flashlight in one hand. It's bright enough but the flood spot option is awesome. Really a terrific value. Head band is very comfortable and easy to adjust.

Inserted brand new OEM battery. fully charged overnight. Use for ~ 30 minutes low to medium, walking dog. Dim after 30 minutes. Fact mostly on medium. Went thru many charge cycles, same issue. Guess I have to change every day to use it for 30-45 minutes.

Bought trough Amazon at the beginning of 2024 and thought it was ok to always keep the green led on...Maybe to locate the lamp? or maybe to see if battery level was ok...!but batteries do no last at all!!! lok at the 3 pictures as I activate the on-off button....terrible.
