Decent features. Only problem is early dimming. 15 minutes on high on alkaline batteries. 10 minutes on Zithion-X. I purchased a new zx350 and it dimmed about 30% on 20 minutes. The zx350 has been updated to move the charging port to rear allowing in flashlight recharging. This is a replacement for another headlight and didn't come equipped with a reflective band.

I really like the FL79 as it gives me plenty of light and beam adjustment without having a battery get in the way. While working on my back it has lots of battery to get jobs done. My first unit was purchased several years ago and the power switch was always difficult until recently it became impossible to actuate. Thus, Coast just sent this new replacement out and I haven't received it yet but I'm betting they fixed this common switch problem. Wow their Customer Service should be the model for all companies. They've helped me out several times over the last 10 years. I own 15 different lamps and have given many gifts of Coast products. Everybody likes them. Great company.

It's okay. Batteries don't last long. Not that bright. I wouldn't recommend it as an automotive technician. You'll get one day of use and then "3 more batteries, please?" Very costly. It's comfortable though. I'm forever on the quest for something comfortable and bright, that you don't have to turn off with greasy hands when someone tries to talk with you. One that doesn't make you look like a goober. This ain't it, and I don't think it exists

Just what I was looking for. I keep this in a medical bag and when I need it I need a light quickly I dont need a red or green light or an extra button to fumble with. When I need a light I need bright light with no chance of getting a red or other color. This headlamp is exactly what I need.

The FL70 fits my needs for a broad spectrum of activities and jobs. I keep in the top drawer of the toolbox so it can be accessed easily. I use it for hands free illumination on my preflights checks in dark conditions and on most every vehicle repair job.

Picked this up as part of the Crew special and ordered one for all four members of the family. I plan to have each light attached to their 'go-bag'. We have tornadoes here and recently had tornado watches and warnings (watch means condtions are ripe; warning means funnel cloud has been spotted). I was the only one that had clothing and emergency gear ready to grab and go into the basement. I want everyone to be ready.

This headlamp was a warranty replacement for me. I have had the light for about 5 years or so. I use it daily. The clip on the battery door broke a couple years ago and i just threw some electrical tape on it to keep it closed. Then i realized that the fl70 has the great coast lifetime warranty. The warranty process was quick and easy. When my new headlamp arrived i found that it had a couple of upgrades compared to the old one that i really love. The 1st being the light coming on on medium instead of high. The second was the new style headband. What a great headlamp. This was my 1st coast purchase, but since then i have bought a few other headlamps, pen lights, flashlights, and a lantern. Some are rechargeable and some not, but the are all top shelf products. I love the quality of the coast products and you truely can buy them once and get a lifetime of use.

Hi ?? i been using coast product for years and never had issues My headlight battery cover broke and i was on the fence of buying a new one,i looked at the warranty and its lifetime i send customer service a message with pictures of broken item didn't expect a reply or so Wow im surprised and shocked i got a replacement light at $0 that was an amazing feeling Please i highly recommend this company Bless ??

i've had this headlamp for years and it hasn't lived a cushy life but it's still going. Far brighter than i need, it works 99% of its time on low but it's nice to have the extra luminosity when needed.

This headlamp works well. Quite bright and multiple levels. I use mine frequently. Over the years, it wasn't as bright, and seemed as if the switch wasn't working properly. Eventually it died, but I submitted a claim, and was sent a replacement for only the cost of shipping! great warranty!!

Just found these at Costco, 2 Pack for $29.99, what a deal! They are awesome! Great quality, design, value and Lifetime Warranty. I use them all the time fixing my vehicles and doing home repairs, frees up my hands so I can work. I highly recommened Coast LED headlamps.

I have several other coast headlamps and truly swear by the product line. This has been no exception for me. The headband is wide and comfortable, and the light output and focusing system are great. I use this light primarily for campsite use and nighttime dog walking. The button is glove friendly and the low output is perfect for close up reading without blinding, while “high” cranks out good usable light to say the least. To elaborate a little more: The focusing system is great, if you never used one like this, try it and you will never return to a non-focusing light. As an example, I love to be able to spot wildlife and have a good distance beam when I am sitting by the fire, or walking the trails at night with my dog, but at camp I can light up a large work area with a steady beam of light, no hot spot and it works like a charm. Really bright if I am splitting wood at night or setting up tents/tarp in the dark and the “med” or “low” flood beam are great for up close work like cooking or prepping my camp cigar. And the smaller profile and total front containment of light and batteries is nice (just a preference). What you give up, compared to the separate battery compartment of some of the other Coast models is the infinite variability of light output, but since Coast did a great job of a proper low/medium/high selection on this model, I do not miss that feature on lights like the HL7 (which I own and is also a stellar light). Bottom line is it is worth the money and is well designed and super useful.

This is the best bang for your buck headlamp! Super bright with 405 lumens! Easy High/Medium/Low function. Has Spot to Flood function; always use the spot function though. Really happy with product!

this headlamp is awesome and I really like its got a high output and I really really like its performance and unbreakable LED. I bought it for 43.00 @ Lowe's and I am satisfied with this product both in price and for what I use it for.
