I've got several coast flashlights but this is my new go to light only thing I would change about it is add a tail cap switch.

This is a very bright flashlight for its small stature. I love the focus beam yet you're able to broaden the scope of the light. We bought two. Well worth it. Comes with two rechargeable batteries as well as a generic base to use regular batteries. You should never be without light.

I bought this primarily because I am always in search of a better light for blood trailing deer that have been shot with an arrow. Even on low output, the light is entirely capable of frying your night vision when used in snow. I think it will be much better when there is no snow on the ground though. When focused, it concentrates the light output enough that even without snow, it will light a small area so brightly that when it gets down to hands and knees time searching for tiny droplets, it will be hard on your eyes. Then, maybe if it is defocused it may just be very bright. This kind of work requires a lot of light concentrated on a smallish area, and not much long distance searching.

I purchased this light for use primarily when fishing at night. the is bright, feels very good in the hand. Ye I would recommend this product.

This flashlight is WAY brighter than anticipated and I use it in city limits. I bet this would make a good signal light in the woods if you get lost. If the rechargeable batteries run out in the woods, you get a AAA cage to load for emergencies. Great deal all around.

This is a great combo of products. The TX14R is a perfect size. Most flashlights are so small that they are hard to get a handle on. This one is long enough for a good grip. All of the extra items that came with it are an unexpected and welcome addition

Really bright light, I can?t find anything I don?t like about this light. I love the charging port on the side of the light. I?ve accidentally dropped it a few times and had no problem. Well worth the money.

I was looking at both this light and a stream light, hands down can say this light to me is a no brainer. The cost is way cheaper and much brighter than the competitor. I love this light

4.5 stars. Great flashlight that feels good in the hands and produces lots of light. I actually wish it was a bit heavier. Feels just a little too light in the hands, but that?s a minor issue. Overall it is a good and reliable light.

This is a bright A## flashlight! My all time favorite now! Plenty of battery power, love the 2nd re-chargeable battery and the AAA battery option that includes AAA batteries! Only wish that I had gotten the belt sheath at the same time. It now says you are SOLD OUT.

The TX14R is exactly the kind of flashlight I?ve been wanting; I?ve been using it everyday since it arrived a few weeks ago. It feels light, yet sturdy, and is able to fit smoothly into most flashlight holsters. The switch on the side makes cycling through the modes quick and easy. The strobe pattern is a couple of rapid longer burst of light followed by several shorter burst; it?s both disorienting and great for signaling. The projection distance is impressive and seems to be exactly as the specifications indicate. The same can be said for the brightness, which may not be the brightest you can buy, but is definitely very bright in its own regard. Having the extra rechargeable battery and the backup alkaline option gives a great price of mind. However, I haven?t had to use either yet. I just charge the light, using the access port, along with everything else when I?m done. The slide focus is tight but easy to use, easy to lock, and can stay in whatever position it?s needed. It?s a versatile flashlight but may not be suitable for certain tasks. It makes a narrow beam even at its widest; making it not the ideal work-light. It also may seem too bright, even at low settings, for close detailed inspections or repair work. While it?s a tough flashlight it doesn?t stay pristine for long with constant use; this may go without saying, but I also have the Polysteel 600r, and it still looks great after several drops and bumps. Overall, a great flashlight. I?ll be purchasing another for my father soon, he was very impressed by it as well.

I have always been a Surefire and Streamlight guy, but this light leaves them all in the dark for a real reasonable price. This is the first light with an adjustable beam that hasn't had either a bright spot or a dark spot in the zoom (think old Maglight). It has a terrific throw with no spill and in the flood setting the light is even all through the beam. I wish I had this light when I worked mid nights patrol.

This is what i was looking for. Rechargeble with spare battery and ability to charge spare out of light. And ability to use regular batteries. This is bright. Also it is not heavy like other lights with this brightness.

It's been a while since I have purchased a flashlight and I was a bit nervous making this decision without putting my hands on the light, but this light is worth it IMO! It puts out big light for being a smaller flashlight. With 2 rechargeable batteries and one you can use with ANA'S you have a lot of run time between charging.

This light is powerful enough, but could be a bit stronger. the top button controls were a must for me and wish more lights had this option. My main criticism is that it does not focus down tight enough. When there is fog, dust or haze in the air too much light is reflected back and prevents a clear view of objects at a distance. It seems like an easy enough change to make by allowing the head to have a bit more slide travel adjustment, or start the beam at a narrower setting. It goes way wider than I would ever require.

The first TX14R that I purchased from COAST was years ago and I have continued to purchase them for gifts to family and friends. I titled the review Best Candella because TX14R is a tactical flashlight and most tactical flashlights have beter optimized Candella. Candella refers to the intensity of the light that is achieved by the angles made inside the flashlight. So even though the TX14R has 900 lumens it looks brighter because of the higher Candella. For a comparison I put the 2100 lumens of the XP11R side by side to the 900 lumens of the TX14R and the XP11R looked dull. There are other reasons why I recommend The TX14R, what comes with it in the box is better then any other COAST flashlight I've purchased. The box includes two rechargeable batteries( the rechargeable batteries also have an out port that make them able to recharge your cell phone for example,two chargers one works for regular outlets the other works for your vehicle if it has a charging port, and a alkaline battery sleeve to use as a backup. It really is my favorite Flashlight from COAST!

Outside in the darkness of my large backyard, close to a branch of the NM Rio Grande River is when I first turned on my Coast TX14. From it beamed a most powerful intense purest of white light. The beam traveled right through the layered branches of my Scottish Pine tree to expose a hidden Great Horn Owl. The owl left & has never returned. I have never seen a flashlight perform like the Coast TX14. From its flood beam to its spot beam, from its high, strobe, & low settings, to the ease of recharging its batteries, down to the comfortable light fit in my hand, I can only say I love everything about this Coast TX14. Its pure white beam easily covers 1381ft. & then some. This flashlight travels far while still providing me with fine details along the way, like the faces of passing coyotes just beyond my fence. The light from my Coast TX14 keeps their pack moving on instead of jumping the fence into my backyard. My Coast TX14 provides the needed backyard night security for the small dogs I rescued & me. Believe me, Zoey & Auggie automatically stay close to the TX14. I'm so grateful to the Coast family for making quality important in their products. I've been an aircraft mechanic for 20 years and never found a flashlight that would work as well as this one does for me it's lightweight and the battery lasts a very long time it's perfect for line maintenance.
