Best carrying knife ever
Compact size is great for slipping into your pocket, I also have the DX199 and it's a tad too big. The blade retention is magnificent, in 2 years of steady use I've never had a blade get loose or fall out. The MAX lock is a great safety feature too. After applying some loctite to the clip screws, it was nearly perfect. If the clip could be less prone to bending, that would be good improvement. MX200
After having other brands fail I came across throats brand. I love the fact that it locks both open and shut, preventing possible accidents. Being on blood thinners this was j an important feature. I also like the lifetime warranty.
The MX200 is a compact razor knife that offers Coast's easy-to-use Max-Lock system which also prevents the knife from opening inside a pocket. The razor knife combines a liner lock with the Max-Lock System provides two locks to make it twice as safe. The knife is equipped with standard sized double ended utility blades and the E-Z replace system makes it easy to quickly change the blades while working. The textured nylon handle is designed for secure grip and the thumb studs make one-handed opening easy.

Max-Lock
The Max-Lock System is a unique and independent locking system that can lock the blade both in the open and closed position by engaging a metal bar into a riveted stainless steel washer in the blade. Locking in the closed position keeps the assisted opening mechanism from accidentally engaging in your pocket and locking in the open position gives you reassurance that it wont close on your hand. Knives with Max-Lock also have a standard Liner-Lock to make these twice as safe.
To operate the Max-Lock switch, simply push the switch forward to lock the blade and expose the "lock" icon or pull the switch backwards to expose the red mark and allow it to open the blade.
