Incredibly sharp, easy to open.
Bought this for my son. I tested it open upon arrival: it is incredibly sharp right out of the box. The knife opens smoothly with a good wrist flick and thumb pull on the thumb hole. The grip is solid and weight is balanced. I got this on a discount and it feels like a steal now.

Love the flashlights but I won?t buy another knife
I bought this knife to bring to military training so the knife was packed away unused for a couple months. Once I was in training I only used it a couple times to cut some pretty basic things like string or tape. After two weeks in my pocket all of the screws came loose and the whole thing started to fall apart into pieces. I have 7 coast flashlights and I swear by them and won?t stop buying them exclusively, but as for the knifes I wouldn?t buy another coast knife.

A good solid knife, and sharp, right out of the box. The only drawback I see is there is no assist opening. It only deploys with whatever speed you can transfer to the flipper.

A thing of beauty
This knife combines the best qualities a knife has to offer. It is well built, sturdy, highly functional, and also very nice to look at. I have a CCW permit, but there are times when it doesn't make sense to carry. I don't want to be defenseless so a carry this knife in my pocket. It is small enough not to bunch up your pocket, yet large enough to get the job done if necessary. It came very sharp straight from the package and the thing is freakin' beautiful. I recommend this as a go to back up. And it comes with a reasonable price tag.

Fantastic little knife
The knife has a very good feel when held. The textured handle and the compact size make it a pleasure to hold.
One handed operation is easy thanks to the well balanced build quality. You can also close it with one hand due to the thumb grip hole.
The knife has a sharp edge and is serrated as well.
Overall, a great handy little knife.

Excellent knife
Like many others I got this knife for free by filling out a survey. I feel like I got the better end of this deal! The knife is way nicer than I imagined. It feels great, opens and closes smoothly, and looks really nice. Another awesome Coast product.

Beautiful knife with great features
This is my go to knife. Had the double lock. Slightly large but gives the knife solid good feel in the hand. Comes very sharp out the box. Love this knife.

Near-perfect
Sharp, comfortable. Just wish it opened all the way (rather than halfway with the open assist. I asked the Coast representative: “Different states have different rules for manufacturing knives. A spring-loaded assist would be considered a switchblade.” However, great design and lots of compliments.

I love it!
Let me start off by saying, I don't often use utility knifes, I just like to collect them. I can't speak on real world use of the knife and how sturdy or sharp it really is, I've only maybe ever used it to cut some take on a box. But let me tell you, compared to previous utility knives I've owned this is probably by far the coolest one, and while I can't speak on how good of a knife it actually is, it really feels the part. It has a nice heft to it that when combined with the finger grooves gives it a really nice balanced feel, but it's not too heavy that I would never consider carrying it. I think my favorite part though was the opening action, it is one of the SMOOTHEST and easiest knife to open, I was easily able to open and close it with one hand, which could be especially useful in situations where you've only got one free hand. Easy opening aside it's also got this really cool feature I've never seen on another utility knife, a manual safety switch to prevent it from closing on your fingers! I don't know if that's a common problem with people who are hard on their knives but it sure feels great knowing I'll never lose a finger using it! I think I'll be buying more knives and flashlights from coast, I'm in love!

Great but.....
OK, where to start. I love the blade half an half. Strips wires as any serrated blade should. A very nice edge on the regular straight edge. The opening action is extremely smooth no hiccups or hesitation in it's swing. As for the grip it's not low profile for a duty belt set up but for a standard pocket folder for daily use yeah it has replaced my go to SOG Tanto. Every time I get on my motorcycle I always make sure it's in my vest pocket. I would recommend this knife for daily carriers and normal use. Even with full finger gloves no issues either with opening or closing. So, I say yes to this blade.

Good and Bad
Good- size is nice, like it has serrated and smooth edge, double lock
Bad- fell apart after less than a month. it was replaced and i was told to locktite the screws. You can't get to the head of the screws as they are under the handle scales. One would think if they recommend this they would do it at assembly. Believe i will stick with Coast flashlights and buy my knifes elsewhere.
