We've had this for a several years and it gets "stolen" back and forth within the family despite having a slew of other headlamps. The elastic did finally need replaced this year, but lasted awhile and is still going strong otherwise. Looking to buy more for my family members, so that I can keep mine.

The elastic on the head band seems to deteriorate quickly, after a year or so I need to adjust it every time I put it on except now I'm at the end of adjustment. I've gone so far as to take a tuck in the band and use masking tape to take up the excess band otherwise the battery pack gets off to one side.

I work as a lab tech/operator for a coal burning power plant, and this headlamp was a blessing to have on my hardhat. The dimming feature was very useful. It was also very nice to take it off the hard hat when I went camping and ran trails at night in Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri. The lamp was plenty bright for my needs, it did not ruin in rain and I love the low profile lamp that didn't weigh my head down or bulge off my forehead like most other brands. I'd give her 5 stars if she didnt crack when I put it under my seat on the kayak, causing the button to no longer function as it should. Would be nice if they could fix or refurbish it for me, but warranty doesn't cover that. No sweat, just got my new HL27 in the post today, looks like a great buy. Another place for possible improvement would be the adjustability and functionality of the band. As expected the material of the band tends to slide around on a plastic hard hat. It also became stretched and a bit too big for my head when I put it on for a night jog. I must say, these folks do excellent work, and after my HL6 button broke, I browsed through the many other brands of headlamps out there, yet Coast still stood out to me as being the best option. Many thanks for the quality work and craftsmanship. May The good Lord bless you and guide you always. amen

I am very disapointed in this product. I purchased it to use on my hardhat at work. It was supposed to come with clips for to clip to my helmet. They were nowhere to befound I the packaging, rendering this completely useless to me.

Great headlamp. I have used this on half a dozen campouts since I bought it. I mostly leave it on low, which is plenty of light for walking around and setting up a tent after dark. I like the tilt down feature, so I'm illuminating where my feet are going to go, instead of blinding all my fellow campers. It's nice to have the ability to focus the beam and put it on high for when I need to see something farther off. At bedtime, I hang the headband over a line in my tent, and it's like having a nice overhead ceiling light in the living room.

Just got it today, and at first glance, seems like a solid product. Well built and easy access to all of the functions (on/off, dim, tilt, etc.. Great packaging as well. I have yet to use it, but I have high expectations of it.
