Coast G20 Inspection Beam Penlight, 72' Beam, Black, AAA Battery

Bought this to replace a Coast penlight that was "lost." Needed a penlight that could be hung in a holster near the bed in our camper to use for accessing bathroom in the dark. Works great for this!

We have been using G20 Coast penlights for almost ten years. We have also used any number of other brands that we get as stocking stuffers and last minute emergency purchases when a Coast wasn't immediately available, and NOTHING has stacked up comparably. We like the Coast G20 so much that we ended up going straight to the site after the stores near us stopped stocking them, and we ordered 7 this time! Within a week, we accidentally screwed up the lens on one and Coast had a new one to us in a week, incredible customer service and the price of this light, between $11-18, can't be beat with the flooded market of $10 crappy lights available. Those ten dollar lights don't begin to challenge the quality of the G20...

Was a great product until I couldn't get the battery out of the housing?. I tried everything. Heating the case, applying lubricant oil, tapping on a surface? it's a great flashlight until you need to replace the batteries? makes sense why it's 15 bucks.

I started carrying a flashlight about 15 years ago and couldn't find one that could hang with me. until i found the g20 ive worn out all kinds of competitors ( police, quantum) other no name ones but this thing has been with me in my pocket for years and it doesn't flicker or anything until the batteries go. i use the cheap batteries in it because they last forever in this thing. ill definitely get another one when this thing finally quits im thinking of trying that g22 out since this one has been so good

I bought my Hx7 about four years ago, it still works to this day, and performs just like it did the day I bought it.It has 360 Lumens of light and 130 lumens on high. It has a water resistant and dust resistant and reliability, very durable, my son as ran over my at least four or five times, has a few scratches but still works. I've dropped in the water haven't had any issues with it. I've only have used the AA batteries and it can put out up to 3 half hours. But you can different type of out comes on the different batterys. Good EDC flashlights for any occasions.

They are nice at first, HOWEVER, I would NOT buy again. I've had 3 now and they all FLAKE OUT. I don't think they are worth the money. I'm not paying 7 bucks for shipping anymore.

Simply, the well-defined circle of light serves to exclude peripheral matters that do not need to be looked at. In fact, using the COAST inspection types is akin to using a microscope.

I just bought this G20 and it was exactly what I was looking for but I was way overcharged for this compared to the price I see here. Also it says "Built-in USB-C port" which I can't seem to find anywhere nor can I find the "Charge indicator" light that was mentioned. There was no instruction manual provided-it's such a simple product I wouldn't have thought one would be needed but, as I've found, it would've been a good thing to have!

I do love these little lights. The inspection light isn't very bright compared to the mini Maglite with LED that I also carry in the same jacket pocket, but it'll get the job done if I drop a wrench.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have the G20 flashlight in my pocket at all times. All times that I am awake, at least. Even before I worked in emergency services, I liked to keep a dependable flashlight with me. But finding a flashlight that checked all of the boxes was tough. This flashlight is it! Big enough to fit in my hand well, but small enough that I don't notice it in my pocket. Bright enough to be useful, but still has a very good battery life. And the price is right. Something I am picky about with flashlights is the button or switch that operates it. For a flashlight that is going to be used a LOT, the button or switch has to be simple to use, durable, and it can't turn on accidentally. They got it right with the G20 - a single button on the tail cap with a simple on/off function. There is no cycling through functions. The light simply turns on every time you need it to. The rubber tail cap button is durable too. I have had other brands of flashlights where the rubber cap come off after time. But the button and rubber cap on the G20 hold up very well, even with a LOT of use. Besides the batteries lasting a very long time, my favorite feature on this flashlight is the crisp "inspection beam." The light's color, intensity, and clarity are perfect for focusing on a specific task. Yet the beam is bright and focused enough that you can light your way in the woods at night, for example, with a small penlight. The only improvement I would make to this flashlight is adding a rubber coated section maybe an inch down from the tail cap. This would allow the light to be held between the teeth comfortably for hands-free work. I have bought more than one of these flashlights for myself, and a few as gifts. I recommend the G20 flashlight, and COAST flashlights in general.

It finally arrived, catching up with the pocket clip I ordered without knowing it had no light attached to it! I pushed the little rubber on/off switch and it worked as advertised! Can't wait to fix the HP printer I bought the light to help me fix!

I'm a forklift service technician, we work indoors and out in every type of lighting doing inspections. I bought this light having never seen or heard of Coast, and figured I would give them a shot. I have dropped this light (and ran it over) with a lift, used it in rain and shine, got it oily, greasy, everything you can probably think of, and it just works. The beam is bright, even with disposable batteries, and if I need to see a hydraulic leak in a dark warehouse shop, I have more than enough light to do so. Easily slides in a pen pocket and the clip holds firm. Hands down the best flashlight I've ever used.

Used once for ushering for probably 5 minutes. Next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't work, even with new batteries. Packaging was so difficult to open, it's in little pieces. Going to try to return.
