My D40 w/ 18-55 fits perfect. I'm sure the D3000, D3100 & D5000 will fit too. It's not big enough to carry anything else except a couple filters & batteries & remote. I got it to store my D40. I can grab it daily to jump in my truck and go anywhere. You can also throw it in luggage or a backpack.

This is obviously a small bag, and anyone purchasing it should be aware of that. It fits my Canon 450D and 18-55 just perfectly, with not much wiggle room. With the 50mm prime, there is a little extra room on top. I doubt any telephoto/zoom would fit. The side pockets are great for a wallet, car keys, table top tripod, and stuff your wife tells you to hold. :P Just be warned, this is for a day outing only, you won't fit anything but the camera and small pocket trinkets. Knowing all that, it is a great bag for what it was designed for. I just wish the shoulder strap had a pad on it to keep it from slipping, otherwise you have to wear it cross shoulder.
