Q&A

Questions & Answers

Bob B : How long is the strap?
Shopper : Can this break or damage the camera tripod mount if changed frequently with tripod. Also there are some reviews stating that the camera has fallen form such slings??Andrew E : Fits tight onto camera, would not expect it to come loose, but easy enough to just check every now and then.CHRISTOPHER B : I've hiked hundreds of miles using this strap. As long as the user maintains due diligence and checks the tightness of the screw occasionally, there are no problems. I also use a tripod and have no problems.TIMOTHY T : Then you have a cheap camera that may use a plastic nut embedded in the bottom.DAVID A : I remove it after every shoot and put the camera in the bag. The 1/4" x 20 screw thread would be difficult to strip, you probably would have to start it cross-threaded and then use pliers to strip it. :o( I have never had it loosen during a shoot.
NICOLE N : What is the length? Curvy, tall lady trying to find one that's long enough. Thanks!VALERIE Z : Hi there, I am also a tall lady, and use the strap to carry my camera to get the weight off my neck and free up my hands. It sits nicely and is long enough.

Love it!

Bought it half a year ago on a holiday when I forgot my old camerastrap. Since that day never used my old one again. Best things is how easy it is in use and the heavy weight it takes. Bad thing is it uses a plastic connection and does not include a safety strap for if the connection might break apart, that's why I use it in combination with the safety strap of my old strap. @Case-Logic: change the plastic part that connects the camera to the belt for metal and include a safety-strap and you will have the best budget belt on the market!

Fail Warning

I bought this for use with my Nikon D780 DSLR camera, on which I use a NIKOR 17-35mm lens. I was happy with the functionality of the product and used it maybe 7 times over the course of time months. Recently, I was standing still with the camera on and felt it drop an inch suddenly and then fall to the floor. The drop caused the lens to crack and rendered the body non-functional. Upon further inspection, ring connecting the mount to the strap deteriorated and came apart (picture. This seems to be quite a cheap piece of plastic to secure a high-value investment. Long story short, I'm now out almost $4K in camera equipment because this product is sub-par.

Does not work with Canon cameras

The mechanism that is supposed to screw into the base of the camera DOES NOT FIT any of my Canon cameras. Will not work with Canon Rebel XT, 50D or 6D. Thread size is not correct for Canon cameras. Unfortunately, store where I bought it would not give me a refund!

Defective Screw

I purchased this elsewhere and it took 3 of them before I recieved one that had a working screw. The first 2 the threading was defective and would not screw on to any camera. There must have been a bad batch or something.

Failed Cannon 24 70mm 2.8L lens dropped w/camera

Great design and I loved it until it failed on me and the camera and pro lens went falling down on the ground. Lucky it was soft forest floor and not concrete. Any part holding strength should have been metal. The clip that the strap attaches to needs to be made of high strength metal. It cannot break like the plastic one did on me.

Great for the price....

Well made for the price, not a Black Rapid, but not bad, my only gripe is the use of plastic in high stress areas such as the piece that connects the strap to tripod screw, would like to see aluminum here, but for lighter weight gear, it seems durable enough. Previous post saying it doesn't fit Canon????..wrong!! It uses a standard 1/4 20 thread and will fit any camera with a tripod socket.....

just perfect!

I'm happy to find this one, a price friendly. just when I got home I immediately attached it to my D7000 with flash gun and it's just fit and locks perfectly as I observed. For me the hard plastic that others said should be metal is not a big deal because this plastic thing obviously can carry more than 40 kilogram. You can still use this with your 30kg. camera

Good Strap

This camera strap attaches at the camera tripod piece. It has a nice length that allows it to be worn crossbody for comfort. Four star as the screw that attaches it to the camera is metal and reflects sun. This gets distracting when taking photos of birds. I wish it was made of plastic instead.

Does what it should.

I would like the camera to set flat on the table but I realize it can't with this strap on the bottom. Seems fine.

Nice Sling Strap

Got a great deal on the sling strap. Works well for DSLR, with smaller lens on-70-200 max.

No sure

My concern is the construction of the part that connects to the camera bottom. I just feel a little nervous it may break. I think it's a hard plastic. But all in all, I like the design, getting the strap out of the way of the control buttons.

Hope plastic holds up.

The camera attachment is plastic and at some level it worries me that it'll develop a crack I won't notice until too late. I usually sit the camera with strap down on it's bottom which is directly on the plastic piece. I was borrowing a Black Rapid strap which was much sturdier, with a metal camera attachment, but that was 4 times the price of this strap.

Great Little Strap

This strap is simple and easy to use. The price was great and I have no complaints about this product. I am a large person and the strap adjusted easily to fit me. I love the way the ring slides smoothly over the strap, I can pull my camera in to position at a moments notice.

Excellent for my use

I use this with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 and I use the tripod base of the camera to hold a spider hand grip. I can drop the camera to my side because the camera strap is long enough for me. But I'm not tall, 5'4"

Excellent for the price,,, on sale.

Works very well. Well worth the price. Concerned a little it might break someday. I like the way it attaches to the camera securely. The shoulder pad keeps slipping behind to my back so that I have to adjust it back, But I'll figure something out to correct it. I actually like this strap alot, great bang for the buck.
