Very well designed and made all around pack, and I’ve had many over 40+ years as a photographer. Ergonomics are excellent: switching the straps around on the fly to work out of it as a swing bag or pack in wetlands where its simply not possible to put the bag down. The zippers can be hard to work in wet snow, but that’s a wise trade off for it’s being well sealed against dust and light rain (has a waterproof cover as well). Its a thoughtful balance of features, well padded enough to survive taking a tumble in the snow and protecting the camera, yet not not too heavy or expensive. I prefer a separate bag for a tripod to the mounting system provided. It carries the perfect amount of gear along with a laptop for my needs: DSLR and 3 lenses, SD cards, batteries, chargers and remotes, flash, mics for video work etc. If off camera lighting, stands, etc.is required: that goes in another bag. Packed with the essentials: I don’t have to repack to grab and go.

I use this back pack when I only need to carry a few items. I like the side access to the camera. It wears nice and comfortable. I compared a number of brands and for the money this one is great.

Terrific camera pack. Provides plenty of protection along with room for almost everything you need. Careful packing can give room for clothing and shelter. Top access makes shooting readily accessible, as is the pack cover if you need it. Very travel friendly. Great buy for the money!

Plenty of room, but no where for a water bottle.

It's difficult to pick one single backpack and have it meet all of my needs all of the time. In this instance, I was looking to pack for a month long trip overseas and wanted to take 2 camera bodies, three lenses, accessories and my laptop, phone, chargers, etc. Plus, the backpack had to meet the airline restrictions for carry-on in terms of size and weight, which it does. This backpack is light for its size, allowing me more weight in terms of gear and still meeting the 10kg restriction. The belts, straps, slings are easily adjustable and the small attached Velcro straps get the excess material out of the way. The side access to the camera is nice and lets me take a grab shot without undoing the whole back pack to get at a body and lens. Ypu can always second guess the manufacturer and mentally re-design a backpack based on your specific use and gear. However, I have three back packs and this one is my favorite. Yes, I would recommend it.

This ruggedly styled DSLR backpack sling offers dynamic carrying and accessibility options plus a dedicated compartment for your laptop to keep up with the versatility of your photography. Depending on your day of shooting, change the bag from a backpack to either a right-shoulder or left-shoulder sling. Utilize complete access to your camera and gear through either a left, right or front entry.
