The MagNum 300 is a step up from the MagNum 200 system, featuring the MagNum extension module that allows for the control of a third motor. This comprehensive kit includes a 2-channel motor controller with a third-channel extension, three digital motors with cables, mounting hardware, and cabling to connect to power and VTR/talkback. It also comes with a protective carrying hard-case for easy transportation and safe storage.
The MagNum 300 Lens Control System is a revolutionary concept in remote lens control systems. Its unsurpassed ergonomics provide comfort for long days on set, while its Dual-Band frequency selector ensures reliable transmission. The intuitive, menu-guided operation, unbeatable price-performance ratio, and numerous intelligent details make it a unique offering in the market.
This lens control system is ergonomically and functionally optimized in cooperation with users and is available in three versions. It starts with the basic one-channel version: MN-100 MagNum Single Channel, a one-channel version with upgrade possibility: MN-150 MagNum Extendable, and the fully equipped two-channel unit: MN-200 MagNum.
The MagNum and MagNum Extendable are equipped with handwheels featuring VariLock II (two freely adjustable end stops), VariFluid (adjustable fluid damping), and a mechanical lock. They can accommodate both scales and scale rings and come with a large scale ring upon delivery.
The MagNum 300 boasts a symmetrical design, making it equally ergonomic for left-handed operation. Its compact size and lightweight build (2-channel receiver 262g and transmitter fully equipped only 577g) make it easy to handle. It transmits in the worldwide free frequency band of 2.4 GHz and offers an intuitive, menu-guided operation by membrane keys and color-OLED display.
Additional features include four freely assignable hotkeys, a Spectrum Analyzer that shows the best transmission channel, fluid-damped handwheel, and an electronic "Hold" function that captures the actual settings and keeps them. It also includes a magnifier function for "near" and "remote" settings, a selection between scale ring and scale disk, and a record start-stop signal for the camera.
The two-channel version offers all these benefits and more, including a Dual-Band-System, transmission band that can be selected in the range of 430 MHz or 2.4 GHz, and a Combi-socket for connecting the common TV lens demands.
