Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?Maryann M : I chose this because I have a narrow fireplace mantle of 8.5, and cannot mount on my wall because there's no studs due to the fireplace being hollow. I'm going to have to bolt the tv down to the mantle and it looks like the base is small enough to fit without sticking out.

Serious TV Mount

I have an older house with plaster walls and was unable to install a typical wall mount. I new Adorama would have what I needed and they did. Chief manufactures some serious equipment and this bolt down stand does not appointment. This thing was exactly what I needed to handle my 50 inch TV. Built to last, easy to install. Worth noting... I did not use the mounting hardware supplied because I needed to attach this directly to my fireplace mantel. I bought 2.5 inch lag bolts and secured this directly to the mantel. Highly recommend.
