Gerri G : I have a lot of frozen photos that were in a flood a decade ago. I am attempting to put the blocks of photos in a final rinse w/wetting agent and try to soak them then rinse them apart. I have a photo hanger for drying. Is there any thing else I can do to help try to separate them?ACCOUNTS P : yes this could work, but its very difficult to get them apart. pull slowly and expect to have to scan and do some digital retouching repairs.ROY P : Gerri, Sprint will help with re-swelling of the emulsion. Siegfried Rempel, is a photo Conservation Scientist who could further assist you.ZAC H : I've never had to deal with a situation this extreme, but it would stand to reason a decent way to go about this would be to do as you're suggesting, but then putting the negatives in a large water bath w/ wetting agent and leaving them for some time until they naturally begin to separate.
