Heavy & Expensive

Very heavy! If you're a gorilla (on the run) style shooter and require light weight equipment, this is not for you. In terms of performance, It's smooth, but will require calibration. After 1 year of light use, the inner bearings have become shaky. I spoke with one of the Cinevate Reps at the 2013 NAB Conference and they told me I'll need to open up the slider casing and adjust the bearings. The one good thing about this product is that it is durable, and for the most part smooth. It would be perfect for a heavy camera. But if you're just running a DSLR, try looking for a lighter slider ($400-500). I would not recommend any slider under $200, as you get what you pay for. If you do purchase this slider, grab yourself a strong tripod.. you'll need it. I somewhat regret my decision to buy this product. If I had the choice to buy something else, I would probably purchase one of the Kessler Sliders. I also think Cinevate gear is over priced, and have lost their vision of what modern videographers need to get the job done.

Great Slider

I've used this slider on weddings and corporate shoots. Super smooth movement. Solid stylish design that can sit either on the ground or on top of my heavy duty Sachtler tripod. Enables you to get more movement into your footage with minimal setup time compared to conventional track/pipe dollies. This thing is built like a tank!! Suits DSLR, but also handles my Sony EX3 Highly recommend. Only downside is the price, not as cheap as Glidetrack, ZaZa slider and others, but you get what you pay for (top quality).
