The CitiDISK HD FlashMem is world's smallest, lightest Solid-State Digital Video Recorder( DV, HDV, DVCPro50 & DVCProHD ), no moving part, optimized for extreme, hostile, rugged conditions and high altitudes, consume 60% less power than conventional hard drive.
CitiDISK HD FlashMem is powerful, lightweight, portable and, with its internal rechargeable battery, connects directly to camcorders and captures footage to its miniature high-capacity hard drive and to tape simultaneously - directly from the camera's FireWire port into NLE's native files, i.e. MOV or AVI.
When done shooting, set your camcorder to VCR mode to "QPLAY" the last scenes on the viewfinder or simply plug it into your computer's FireWire port and edit/play directly on the digitized video at anytime.

- Quickplay and QPLAY Functions: Need to review your footage immediately? Have no fear, the CitiDISK HD allows you to do this over its FireWire connection. Simply set the camera to VCR mode and either view all files from first recorded to last or view the last one stored using the "QPLAY" function
- Loop Recording: Loop scene recording allows the user to buffer a finite amount of run time that is constantly being recorded in "Stand-By" mode. This can be very effective for news gathering when important takes place immediately before the camera operator has the ability to press record
- Backup Power Management: The CitiDISK HD power management feature has an embedded rechargeable lithium battery that can last up to 90 minutes in the event that the 3 hour external battery runs out
- Plug 'n Play Technology: The CitiDISK HD can easily be used with editing systems. The drive automatically mounts on a computer as an external hard drive. Once the disk is mounted, simply copy the files into your NLE and you are ready to go!
