Lightroom and Photoshop are great technologies but sitting at a computer manipulating images isn't the same as being there and creating your vision in camera. The Cokin filter system gives me another tool to play with when I am trying to create an image. Filters are about manipulating light and whether you use this for color correction under florescent lights or as a means of painting with the existing light, the system does what it advertises at an affordable price. I have collected more than a dozen filters that I use on 5 different lenses in my bag. A little bit of care when handling is all that is required to keep the filters scratch and smudge free. Glass filters may have their advantages but for the price, I'll stick with Cokin and continue to enjoy my playtime.

When color correction is an issue, this is my "go to" filter! It also works well in sunset/dusk type of shots.
The A.

The un-natural lighting of florescent never made anyone look good.
It shows up in your photos as greenish tones.
Cokin's FLW & FLD filters neutralise these unpleasent tones.
Keep these filters on hand for work in public places (stations, resturants, offices etc.) where you can do nothing about the lighting.
FLW (A036) corrects the lighting from florscent "white" bulbs.
FLW (A138) is the graduated version for mixed lighting.
FLD (A046) corrects the lighting from florscent "daylight" bulbs.
FLD (A139) is the graduated version for mixed lighting.
