The Cokin "A" series filters meet the demands of my work as a videographer and photographer. This series is a cost effective way to spend just a few dollars to replicate matte box and filters costing $700-$1000.00. With the Cokin series A filter holder ($20.00) mounted on my Canon HV30 video camera, a 43mm to 58mm step up ring ($6.00), and a Cokin 4 Star filter $12.00 and a Cokin 2 star filter [$](used for light streaks), I was able to recreate effects for music videos in HD. I now consider theis filter set a permanent part of my gear bag, and would never leave for a shot location without it. You can also go with the Cokin "P" series for the larger mm cameras such as the DVX100 by Panasonic.

Cokin star filters will create as many stars as there are light sources in your picture.
You can achieve sparkle from city lights, birthday candles, stage projectors, or reflections off water, metal or glass.
Star filters are most effective against dark backgrounds.
Their effect can be reinforced by combining with color, graduated or sunset filters.
Available in 2, 4, 8 & 16 point stars as well as a 'softstar' effect.
