Questions & Answers

Cassandra f : how to use cokin for double exposure ?GREG M : I am not sure what you mean by double exposure this is a filter system to balance the lighting from the sky to the ground. MICHAEL T : I do own the Slim Holder and the Regular Holder, and have never had a problem with either with any of my lenses, ranging from 11 to 200. I have never done a double exposure so I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to answer your question. Good luck.
Vanessa Q : can i use it on my nikon d700?ALYSSA M : I'm sorry, I'm not sure of the answer. I gave this as a gift, although I beleive the recipient does use the smae type of camera.JIM L : It should work as long as you also buy the appropriately threaded interface for the holder. If you have multiple lenses with different size filter thread, you will need to buy multiple threaded interfaces or buy the largest diameter interface and then stepdown rings also sold by Adorama. You can also use some of the filters by just holding it against the front of the lens but that can be tricky. Easier done with a tripod. Note: I own Canon equipment so I don't know if the D700 had any idiosyncrasies that would affect use.GRAHAM B : Yes, with excellent results.MICHAEL T : You will need the proper adapter to mount the filter holder to the lens you are using. The filter size of the lens your using will need to be in the 48mm-82mm range.Thomas E : Yes, it works on any camera by attaching to the lens screw thread (same way you attach a filter). TA-CHUNG O : Yes. It works with all DSLR.SUSAN C : You can use it with any camera and any lens. The trick is you also have to buy an adaptor ring that screws onto your lens (in the product picture it's the element between the filter holder and the lens). That means that you have to get an adaptor that matches the diameter of the lens you want to use it on. For instance, my lens has a 72mm diameter, so I needed to buy the 72mm adaptor. If you have the right adaptor, this will work with anything.FRANK F : It depends on just how wide the lens is. I use it on my Nikon D200 with a 17-55mm lens. It works fine, even at the wide end. 17 mm on my DX camera is eqivalent to 26 mm on your FX camera.GREG N : It doesn't really depend on the camera, but rather on the lens. You can't used it, for example, on the Nikkor 14-24. Although it theoretically can work on lenses with up to 82mm filter rings, it works best on 72mm or smaller. It vignettes on ultra-wide lens, anything, say wider than 15mm on APS-C cameras, ~24mm on FF.PETER F : Yes it will work but you may get some vignetting at wider than about 28mm. I have been using the Z size filters to avoid any clipping.DAVID T : Yes Vanessa, you can use it on any DSLR camera. What is most important is that you buy an adapter ring for each lens that you wish to use with the Cokin P filter system. You can find the correct size (diameter measured in mm) of your lens by looking on the inside of the lens cap, or the front of the lens. Otherwise an online search will help you find it. Once you know the filter size be sure to buy one adapter ring for each lens you want to use. You can use the same adapter ring on more than one lens if they both have the same filter diameter. You can select the correct size under the "accessories" tab on the product page for the blister pack. Then you just screw the adapter ring on the front of the lens and slide the filter holder onto that. You can use the slim holder on telephoto lenses as well as wide-angle lenses.FRED G : Sure thing; I use it with mine. I use it to hold grad neutral density filters and it's great.
Shopper : Is any "P" filter holder that i can use couple of filter in the same time in my sigma 10-20mm lens.please any one help me ?THOMAS D : I forgot to add... it has to be the slim P holder(or you'll see it in the frameTHOMAS D : yes it'll take 2 filtersDARRYL M : It should work as long as the filter size is between 48-82mm and you have the right size screw in adapter ring. Might be tight at widest settings though.YIQUN G : The wide angle holder can’t hold more than one filter but regular one can.TIMOTHY R : Yes, see for example SKU: CKBPP77. However, you may get vignetting with that. The wide angle one makes that less likely, but only holds one filter, instead of the 3 held by the SKU I referenced.

Best for all lens

When I used the regular holder with my wide angle lens I saw the holder in the edge because it was made to hold 3 filters. I don't really used multiple filters at the same time and this is so much smaller that it is easier to pack so I use it all the time.

Decent but a bit overpriced.

It's a bit pricey for a piece of plastic. although It does work without vignetting at 24MM on a full frame camera though so that is helpful. Unfortunately when used with another screw on filter there will still be vignetting so that is something to consider. Overall it is a useful product in landscape photography.

Bought for Sigma 10-20mm 3.5

Used on my Sigma 10-20mm 3.5, 82mm. Still has vignetting around the 10mm mark. Works great on my 18-105mm Nikon lens.

If you like vignetting this is for you.

Landscape photographers use Wide Angle lenses, and this is supposed to be a Wide Angle Holder. It Is Not. I shoot a cropped sensor Nikon D300s and cannot shoot wider than 25mm (36mm in 35 equivalent) which is not Wide Angle in anybody's book. I am very dissappointed and would not reccommend it to anyone as a Wide Angle Holder.

Vignetting at 10-11 mm

I purchased this for use on a canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. This is a decent product, but not the best of build quality. It is lightweight. Very expensive for what you get! It's just a piece of plastic. Period. The holder does show up in my images from 10-11mm. Around 12mm and up I cannot see it. I hope this helps for all you UWA users!

A MUST HAVE, IMPORTANT FEATURES ITEM ...

I use this product when brightness/darkness areas need to be balanced out along with neutral density, sunset/sunrise & various color correction filters. It saves me having to buy filters for my various assortment of lenses, just having to buy the filter size adapter ring to snap the filter holder onto.

Great product

This is a great product. It saved me from buying several 77mm filters for my lenses. All I have to do is attach this kit to my lens with the right adapter and all I have to do is change the 4x4 resin filters. No problems.

I would buy this again

As there Isn't much to this product, there is not much to say about it except that it does the job it is intended for, and is sturdy enough to last indefinitely. I would like to see it sold with a complimentary filter though. And I would like to see some used items on offer too. Good product and affordable
