Cokin Clearsky Light Pollution filter is a necessity

Used the Cokin Clearsky Light Pollution filter to photograph the Milky Way as it rose during the recent new moon. Filter did an excellent job of minimizing light pollution and bringing out the stars and galactic details. Thin frame didn't cause any vignetting (even at f2.8, 11mm) and screwed on to lens easily. This filter is a necessity in populated areas.

Cokin Nuances light pollution filter.

So far, I've only used it once. Took a shot of Orion. Brought out the Constellation a lot better. I think its more enhanced. Definitely recommend this if you live in a light polluted area.

So far, I'm impressed with the reduction in light pollution.

Seems to be pretty good. I took a couple of pictures the other night right after sunset. I was surprised to see that the picture with the light filter actually had a better looking "night sky" color and you could actually see more stars in the picture with the filter. I live in town and there was a noticeable reduction in light pollution right after sunset. I have yet to go out and take multiple photos long after sunset with the filter. That will be the true test.

An absolute must for astrophotography close to a city.

I attempted astrophotography a few times and was less than excited about the results. That is until I found these filters. If you live anywhere within 10 miles of a medium to large city, I highly recommend getting a light pollution filter. They are not cheap but are well worth it.

For astrophotography enthusiasts and night-sky photographers seeking to capture the celestial wonders above, the Nuances Clearsky Light Pollution Filter, 52mm, is an essential tool for your imaging arsenal. Expertly crafted by Cokin, a brand synonymous with high-quality photographic filters, this durable and effective accessory is designed to selectively block the intrusive wavelengths of urban lighting, such as those emitted by sodium and mercury vapor lamps.

The filter's advanced technology targets and diminishes the pervasive yellow and orange glow of streetlights, ensuring that your urban nightscapes are captured with pristine clarity and without the common color casts that can detract from the image. When venturing into astrophotography, the Nuances Clearsky Filter excels by enhancing the contrast of the night sky. It works by darkening the gradient of the sky background, thereby allowing stars, constellations, and the majestic Milky Way to stand out with improved brilliance and detail.

Easy-to-use and versatile, this 52mm filter is a perfect match for a wide range of lenses, making it a go-to choice for photographers who demand both quality and flexibility in their equipment. Whether you're capturing the vibrant energy of a city at night or the tranquil beauty of the cosmos, the Nuances Clearsky Light Pollution Filter ensures that your images are free from the distortions of artificial light, allowing the true beauty of your subject to shine through.

In summary, the Nuances Clearsky Light Pollution Filter is an indispensable addition to your photography kit, enabling you to achieve clear, high-contrast images in light-polluted environments.
