Used the Cokin Clearsky Light Pollution filter to photograph the Milky Way as it rose during the recent new moon. Filter did an excellent job of minimizing light pollution and bringing out the stars and galactic details. Thin frame didn't cause any vignetting (even at f2.8, 11mm) and screwed on to lens easily. This filter is a necessity in populated areas.

So far, I've only used it once. Took a shot of Orion. Brought out the Constellation a lot better. I think its more enhanced. Definitely recommend this if you live in a light polluted area.

Seems to be pretty good. I took a couple of pictures the other night right after sunset. I was surprised to see that the picture with the light filter actually had a better looking "night sky" color and you could actually see more stars in the picture with the filter. I live in town and there was a noticeable reduction in light pollution right after sunset. I have yet to go out and take multiple photos long after sunset with the filter. That will be the true test.

I attempted astrophotography a few times and was less than excited about the results. That is until I found these filters. If you live anywhere within 10 miles of a medium to large city, I highly recommend getting a light pollution filter. They are not cheap but are well worth it.
