Good filters

I purchased the Cokin Z-Pro filters over the higher priced options solely due to the price. I tested them for color shift and noticed no noticeable shift in color until I stacked them. At 6 stops ( 6 stops -.3, .6, .9 stacked ) I noticed a magenta color shift. This is easily corrected in post. With only two filters stacked (4 stops) the color shift was barely noticeable. My 10 stop filter made by another manufacturer has a definite blue shift which is also correctable in post. I do recommend Cokin filters and would buy them again.

Neutral Density (ND)
Designed so that absolutely no color from the entire visible spectrum prevails, the neutral density filters can be used in many different contexts, depending on which type is used : uniform shading (square) or graduated shading (rectangular). Uniform ND filters reduce the quantity of light that reaches the sensor - or the film - increasing the exposure time. These filters have 3 main practical applications: emphasizing the flow of movement, reducing the depth of field, avoiding overexposure.
