The NX Professional Kit is the premiere NX Series kit. It is built for professionals and includes six of the most popular Cokin Nuances Extreme filters. This kit provides the ultimate in shutter speed control, stacking for ultra-long exposures and creatively changing your options. Don't worry about how to carry all of the goodies that come in this kit as everything fits nice and snug into your NX Carry Case.- NX Filter Holder -The Cokin NX System is designed to work with super-wide-angle lenses up to 16mm wide and hold a dedicated circular polarizer and (2) 100mm wide square or rectangular filters without vignetting. Vignetting, or darkening of the corners is caused added holders and filters are placed in front of the lens, causing the camera to see them. The most common ways to solve this problem are to use fewer filters, or larger ones.Cokin designers took a different route and engineered a thin but strong aluminum holder that maximizes functionality in the least amount of space while using common 100mm wide filters like Cokin's Nuances Extreme Neutral Density series. The NX Holder cleverly houses the dedicated all-glass NX Circular Polarizer within the skeletal frame, yet is easy to mount and remove without touching the glass. Polarization is controlled by spinning a wheel on the outside of the holder. This means the polarizer does not add extra bulk to the system when it is used.Next, they opted to eliminate the traditional filter slots that waste space between filters for micro ball-bearings on the inside of the holder. These bearings are precisely positioned to accept the small grooves on the sides of the NX filter frames designed exclusively for the NX system.The all-aluminum, lightweight NX filter frames provide two specific benefits:&#149; They protect the sides and corners of your glass filters and allow you to handle them without touching the glass&#149; They make it possible to stack the filters directly on top of each other which reduces bulk and prevents stray light reflectionsAll of these carefully considered design elements allow photographers to use 100mm wide filters with super-wide angles like the Sony and Canon 16-35mm lenses without vignetting.- NX Circular Polarizer Filter -The NX Circular Polarizer is the only polarizer that will work with your NX Series system. It snaps into place, hides within the body of the frame, and is controlled with a dedicated wheel on the side of the holder. The unique design allows you to stack up to two more square filters in front without vignetting.The filter is manufactured with Schott B270 glass and uses a high-transparency polarizing film that blocks only one stop of light. It includes anti-reflective multi-coatings and a hardened topcoat that is scratch and oil resistant for easy cleaning. Filter includes its own protective carrying pouch.-Nuances Extreme ND1024 Filter-The Nuances Extreme ND1024 is a solid ND filter with a full 10-stop light reduction. All Nuances Extreme filters are made from a new type of tempered mineral optical glass that is 4 times stronger than the previous series. This means your new filters can travel with you in extreme conditions and resist drops, nicks, and scratches that can happen to any photographer.A new coating process ensures uniform density. This process results in stunning neutrality and absolute color consistency throughout all types and densities in the series. Switching from one density or style to another will still yield the same color results without adjustments. These filters have an industry standard 2mm thick glass and rounded corners to make them easy to insert into a filter holder. If a light-tight seal is needed, Cokin recommends using the back slot of the EVO series filter holders.- Nuances Extreme Soft Grad ND8 Filter -The Nuances Extreme Soft Grad ND8 allows up to 3 stops of light compensation with a soft transition from the top of the filter to the center. This means your new filters can travel with you into any extreme conditions and withstand those inevitable drops, nicks, and scratches that can happen to any photographer.A new coating process ensures uniform density. This process results in stunning neutrality and absolute color consistency throughout all types and densities in the series. So switching from one density or style to another will still yield the exact same color results, no adjustments necessary. A phosphorescent exposure guide is inserted in the front pocket to help calculate exposures with common neutral density filters.- Adapter Rings -Adaptor-rings are available in various diameters, and this is the first step in determining which system you should use. First, look at all your lenses and refer to the largest diameter lens in your collection. The lens diameter is either written on the front or side of the lens itself, in the cap, or in the lens user's manual.- Adapter Ring Cap -The NX Adapter Ring Cap is the perfect accessory to protect the front of your lens when you are changing locations, but do not want to remove the adapter ring.
