Not for me
Tried several times to get the hang of balancing & using this with my Canon G60 camcorder. No luck so I returned it.

Watched a number of video tutorials, spent hours balancing the camera and just never got it working as advertised. Now learning Zhiyun Crane 3S instead.

Very Pleased
This is my first Glidecam and I am very happy with the purchase. The quick release definitely makes things easier and there are a ton of videos online to help learn to balance it. The quality of the unit is excellent.

Great for the price, but HD series is worth the upgrade.
I bought this glidecam and returned it shortly after I received it. There was nothing wrong with it. However, it was harder to control. I bought the HD-2000 instead and it is MUCH easier to operate and balance.

good buy..
it is a good quality product, i like the fact that it works with basically any camera, up to 10 lbs, also the Manfrotto 577 is a great addition to the stabilizer.

Good for the price
The good: easy to put together; solid materials; once you have it balanced with your camera, seems to do the job
The bad: needs better written instructions and basic video on how to set up with DSLR and pro camcorders used as examples.

Recommended but takes time to learn
The Glidecam is a little tricky to set up and balance but once you have it balanced it is golden
