BEVERLY B : I have a PROMASTER 6000 tripod. Can you tell me which quick camera releases would work with it? thx.JOHN M : It's difficult to offer help without more info on what you're doing when taking pictures but here a few hints I've found helpful: 1. Remove the lens filter, before testing, if using one. It may have distortions. 2. Check the lens for any impairments. Clean if necessary. 3. When possible adjust the camera's ISO setting to 100. 4. Set the camera's resolution to RAW and JPEG FINE. 3. Test the camera, lenses and test target in a brightly lit location. 4. For a test target, use a flat magazine page with clear letters and pictures. 5. Position the test target at the lenses specified working distance. 6. Set the target directly in front of the camera with no angles or tilting. 7. Shoot from a tripod or other stable surface and turn off the VR feature. 8. Shoot using the camera's self timer or with a remote trigger. 9. Test each setting: Auto, Program, Aperture priority and Shutter priority. 10. Record information for each test shot on each lens for later reference. 11. When reviewing you pictures make sure your monitor is clean and clear. 12. Still not clear? Test your lenses on another camera. 13. Still not yet clear? Test another person's lenses on your camera. 14. If your camera is the problem, having the sensor cleaned may help. 15. If a lens is the problem, this test should isolate it for you; repair it. 16. If you're the problem, practice your techniques and seek information. 17. Eyes OK? Have another viewer look at your pictures, too, just in case. I hope I've been some help to you. Good luck!!!THOMAS C : There are a couple of things you can do to get sharper photos. 1. you can get a good tripod. That would eliminate any shake or vibration. Of course always make sure your lenses are clean from finger prints and dust. 2. Don't use the kit lenses, Get a good quality prime lens like the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX Lens or the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G Lens. Both are around $200.00 at Adorama.
