I love these mics, I’m so happy I finally have them in my kit! I have been eyeing the Saramonic products, they look really nice at a price half that of comparable systems. I love that one receiver works for two transmitters, saving money, storage, and setup time. However, I was worried if they were too good to be true. But after using them, I wish I got them sooner! I got a UwMIC9 Receiver and Transmitter pack plus an add on UwMicXLR Transmitter. I wanted to test the sound quality as at their price, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I put the units through as many tests as I could. I mic’d myself up with the Saramonic Lav, a Rodelink, and a Sennheiser G3. I recorded all three mics into a Zoom F4. Then I analyzed each track individually to see how they compared with one another and while each had their own ’sound’, the Saramonic held it’s own. I took the lav mic outside on the streets of NYC and did a similar test, with similar results. While I can hear a difference between the brands it was neither negative or positive, the Saramonic was just as usable and sounded perfect for video applications. While walking around NYC, the lav packs were easy enough to hide and I had no issues with interference. The resulting audio was clean and isolated from the loud surrounding. To further test the units, I plugged a Rode NTG3 into the Saramonic XLR Transmitter. I did some tests, then plugged the NTG3 directly into my F4 to get something to compare to. During playback (while not as easy to compare as the lavs since it’s different recording) the Saramonic XLR Transmitter held it’s own. There is obviously a difference in sound between a wireless signal and hardwired, but the wireless signal was totally clean and sounds nice. As for build quality, these things feel great. They have a nice weight to them and metal build which makes them feel professional. They’re a good size, easy to hide. I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about the battery pack mechanism, but personally, I like the design. There’s no doors or slider to reveal the batteries, it's a holder that pops out of the side for quick access. I look forward to using this setup for years to come. I only wish I tried them myself sooner, I hesitated to purchase because of the pessimistic comments by others but I’ve worked professionally in TV & Film for almost a decade, I’ve made my own videos for almost two decades, and what I’ve learned is that all that matters is that the gear allows you to create something you otherwise wouldn’t be able to, you use the gear the proper way, and it’s affordable enough to actually buy it. This wireless kit allows me to record an extra person via a lav mic and by making my shotgun wireless, it opens up a world of run and gun shooting otherwise impossible. All this for less than the price of one wireless lav from another brand. The affordability of these units changes the whole way you film, as long as you use them correctly they’ll allow you to capture audio that’s clean and sounds professional. I’m very happy with these units!

I like this product a lot. It has very good build quality. The sound quality is great and the distance is great as well. I used them to record in a large hall and had no problem picking up in the back of the hall.
