Items work almost perfectly. The joystick is a bit sticky but nothing I can't work around. The additional battery is an excellent addition. Does not hold charge as long as the Nikon En-El15C.

I think this is an excellent product and would recommend it highly. I wanted to take more vertical pictures but thought the Nikon battery grip was too expensive ($240). I have had no problems with this battery grip and it works as advertised. The ability to shoot with an extra battery is a bonus for me. The ability to use AA batteries is an option I haven't used yet.

Battery grip seems to work as advertised thus far. Pleased with the purchase. Materials have a decent feel to them but not as quality as Nikons same product. Main reason for purchase is based on price. Good product for the value.

Works great on my D7200. The main command dial, and sub command dial turn smoother then the ones on the camera, and the shutter release button works great. Pressing half way down for focus is very solid.

Only had this and my D850 for a couple of weeks, but it looks and feels great, and works like a charm. I?ve had one on my D500 for years and they?re both just part of the camera. Feels funny when I take them off for my young granddaughters to use.

This battery grip is a great value. Coming in at about the cost of an extra battery, you can double the amount of time you can spend photographing. Flexible to use with standard AA or your extra Nikon camera battery. Wish it felt more life the camera texture, was a bit sturdier and had a better locking turn wheel. Have some issues getting threads aligned and unlocking when removing grip. But can't beat the value!!

My first go around the unit worked for about 10 minutes then all of the buttons stopped working. I just received the replacement and we will see how that goes.

The battery grip works fine but it can put the camera into an error state when the batteries run low. Like other reviewers, I also got that horrible sounding mirror slap sound. It did not break the camera, but it sounded bad enough to make my heart race. I THINK THERE IS A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE: The issue seems to arise when the power switches from the grip to the internal battery. I changed the battery usage order on the camera menu so that the internal battery drains first then switches to the grip. I have not had the error or awful noise since.

I really like this but if you don't turn it off it will drain the battery. It's nice to have and screw my harness or a quick release into. I use to think "professional photographers" had bigger camera until I put this on -- I think a few people took me more seriously.
