You cannot record videos more than 20 minutes at the highest res without the camera shutting down (even in mild temps). Then if you try again you might get 2-3 minutes before it shuts down again. The advertised WiFi (or WiFi Direct) connectivity is a flat out lie. It doesn't exist on this camera. Both versions of the Gear 360 app are excruciatingly slow and crashes often must be used on a newer Samsung phone). The desktop software (made by Cyberlink) also has issues, especially if you have an Nvdia video card. Final video output resolution is very poor. Samsung "support" is the absolute worst. Their phone, chat, email and forum reps have no clue how the camera works let alone how to troubleshoot it. Their "premium" support promised return calls on multiple occasions but none ever came. They would not address the overheating issue unless I sent the camera in for repair. After I sent it in and the issues continued, they refused to move forward.

So I have been using this for almost a month now and love the fact that you can record videos in 360 degrees. You can also upload this and use it with Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset to get the total package. I would definitely get the headset to view the movies it gives an absolutely stunning viewing experience. The camera was basically plug and play straight out of the box. PC Software: There also was a small activation code inside the package to activate the Gear 360 software created by cyberlink that you are able to activate for post editing. There you can add music and edit through your pc. If you have ever used power director you should not have a problem with this. I did have problems pulling the file directly to from the camera and running it through the software. I fixed this by simply taking the file from the camera placing it on my desktop and then importing it into the 360 Gear software. From there you are able to edit and then upload to either you tube or facebook. Phone Uploading: You can also directly upload from your phone to facebook which is also a nice feature. My videos upload quite fast from my phone . It would be nice if this was not so top heavy. But all and all this is a great camera for the price and I love to take it on my many adventures. The video's I have captured are great and I have lots of fun making them . The included tripod is practical but a bit on the short end when it comes to overhead video captures. It is a good little camera that is packed with excellence. I am definitely satisfied with this camera . I am happy with the camera.
