Coming out of the box, this ringlight has a nice case and the overall quality of this equipment is outstanding. No noise, and doesnt heat up too quick. I tested it by using it continuously for 1.5 hours and it the light has been consistent. it comes with a remote and you can adjust the intensity of the light. You do have to purchase separate batteries if you want to use it without the power cord. I use this product mainly for taking headshots but it is also great for b roll videos.

Received the ring light and directly put it to the test on a wedding day. Great performance and good results!

My first ring light! I chose it for the reviews and the price, and it has not disappointed. My only critique is that it didn't come with batteries, which was not clearly stated. So be sure to budget that in when purchasing this light.

Was one of my best investments. I do a lot of street photography in Los Angeles, with groups of friends. This light is convenient and light. I can carry this with a tripod, very easy to set up. Only thing make sure you purchase batteries for it. They aren’t included.

Adorama's CLAR brand has nice output and all the functionality of other brands, but at a cheaper price point. It's light, but plasticky like all the other ring lights.

It’s easy to use and the different light settings are great. I also like the option that you can purchase batteries to make it an on the go ring light which is great for me.

I ordered this light just prior to the Holidays and used it to shoot iPhone video and still with DSLR's. Great light, nice color control. It feels solid and the remote/switches seems to work well. The shoe mount is metal (very solid) compared to others that use cheap plastic. Definitely recommended, however I gave it three stars because I bought the first unit at a promo price to try it out letting the rep know I wanted 2 more. When I called back 4 days later the price went up considerably plus I was told it operated on 1 or 2 batteries. You MUST have 2 batteries or the unit will not even turn on. I believe the unit is made by Savage and private labeled by Adorama.

It works as planned and it's great just what my girlfriend needed. Wish it was cheaper but this amongst the typical price range so no complaints.

The first light delivered would not even power up, but everything about it was exactly as expected, so I just quickly ordered another one. The second light looked exactly like the one used in the video, and it works great! The selling point for me was the built-in diffuser, because I don't want to bother with flimsy gels or fabric. It easily mounts on my light stand or my tabletop triPod, and has a hinge that allows it to bend so that you can even have it provide overhead lighting, if your stand goes that high. The remote works great to adjust the warmth and intensity of the light. I'm taking off one star because although it comes with a nice carry bag, the padding is minimal and does not provide enough protection.

This light looks nice and is incredibly easy to use. I really like the price at $ per light. Something that could be a pro or con for some users is the lightweight plastic of the unit. This makes it very light for travel if you need to, but it is not a very durable product if you are going to be hauling it around a lot.I would highly recommend this to a stationary studio, a tutorial creator, and a church employee. I work on staff at a church and these lights have been awesome already for creating bright, beautiful interview videos. I wish that the carrying bag had a pocket to keep the accessories in, but I went to the store and found an easy solution for this.

The CLAR Luminous Pro 19" Bi-Color Ringlight Plus had all the features I wanted - dimmable light and temperature control. I highly recommend it! I was originally going to buy the Savage LED-RLPS Luminous Pro 19" LED Ring Light Plus. The Clar is Adorama's house brand which appears to be the same as the Savage offering. It is a better deal. This was my first purchase at Adorama. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely shop with Adorama again.

Excellent variable intensity and variable color temperature light for the price. Very versatile. Best to use a separate stand for your camera since the cold shoe at the 6-o'clock position of the Ring-light is flimsy for a heavy camera.

I have used many ring lights in the last and produced some really nice results but this light far exeeds those others. Not only does it support color temp from 3500 to 5600 K, but the soft white plastic cover really makes for some beautiful soft light!!! Construction is aweome and even comes with a remote and can be fully used with batteries!!!!

Adorama's Clar Luminous Pro 19" ring light is a great addition for my small studio setup. I wanted something that lets me shoot head shots with those round angel eye catch lights in the pupils. Most other people use this light for YouTube videos or Vblogs. This LED ring light has a diffuser built in and nothing to remove. The color temperature is controlled internally without snapping on panels. The light is brightest at 4300° Kelvin. The color is pretty white at 4300°K, though at 5000°K it is a bit cooler and intensity is a whopping ~30% drop. The control dial sets the brightness and if you press it and turn again, it adjusts color temperature. Click it again or leave it alone to return to brightness adjustment. The remote is pretty nice. It is radio frequency controlled, versus infrared. When you turn on the remote, the light goes off, since the remove starts at 0% brightness. But as you press the remote button to increase brightness level the LCD display on the back of the light adjusts accordingly matching exactly what you have on the remote. The remote also allows you to set groups and channels. The group and channel allows for pre-sets. Turn off the remote and the lights turn off as well. The remote LCD also turns off after a few seconds. The hot shoe on the light is rather thin an flimsy and suitable for a hot shoe mount for a phone, but not sturdy enough for a hot shoe & tripod screw adapter for a DSLR. For DSLR use, a separate tripod behind the light is best. The differentiating feature compared to other AC powered ring lights is this light is portable. With 2 Sony compatible NP-F550, 750 or 950 batteries, you can use this ring light on location without the bulky AC power brick and cable. I think this ring light is exactly the same as the Savage branded model that costs $ more. Compare for yourself. This is a great buy, portable and versatile ring light for medium duty continuous light needs.

I’m very impressed by this ringlight. Not only it’s dimmable but it’s color adjustable too! Oh and it comes with a remote! It’s bright and performs very well. No problems so far! I love the fact that it’s LED (saves energy) and it’s battery operated so can use it without plugging it in! Now I’m ready to start my YouTube videos. Love it!

I love this light! It has greatly improved my control of lighting for headshots. I do wish it had come with a few accessories though. I wish it had a diffuser, and that it came with the batteries to power it. However once I had those it is just wonderful!

The CLAR 19" PRO RingLight Plus AC/DC Powered 96W MultiTemp Dimmable Light Ring is a lightweight, portable ring of light that produces 95Ra+ CRI, flicker free flattering beauty quality light that is a favorite among fashion, glamour, children photographers and reportage journalists. The soft, almost directionless radiance is well known for creating signature catchlights in the eyes. Macro photographer prefer it, too, for the gentle put persistent illumination that seems to envelope every nook and crevice. This light ring uses little power and produces very low heat, allowing for closer subject proximity and keeps the model's comfort and make-up just right. The ring fits atop a standard light stand and can be tilted to any angle.
All of the pro feature of this ring light are available by the included wireless remote or directly on the clear backlit panel display. Track the light intensity, Kelvin output, remote channel and group assignment, battery reserve and more. The adjustable dimmer allows you to vary the light intensity from 0-100% to allow for precise balancing with available ambient lighting and creating the right touch without repositioning. The variable color LED's produce a spectrum from 3200°K tungsten to 5500°K daylight wavelength and everything in between.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. One of the brightest advances in technology is the advent of the light-emitting diode (LED), a two-lead semiconductor light source. When an appropriate voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron 'holes' within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and thecolor of the light is determined by the specific energy band gap of the semiconductor.
LEDs are small, durable and need little power, so they are used in LED strobe lights or continuous camera lights without detrimentalheat output, and operate at a safe, low voltage, instead of the 250+ volts commonly found in Xenon strobe tube-based lighting. This is especially useful in lighting for videographers, where space is at a premium and bulky voltage-raising circuitry is undesirable.
