Great quality of light
The quality of light is wonderful, setup is a little awkward the first time but overall very easy, and it’s nice that all of the stuff for the softbox fits in the little pouch on bag that came with the light. Does eat a decent bit of light output, but that’s a fair trade off for the quality of light.

This CLAR SLIM 500 SOFTBOX and GRID does just that! It transforms your svelte, all-metal powerhouse into a gentle giant to minimize shadows and cast softly in the studio or on location, while all the while, it maximizes the light's shine through the reflective silver interior. The softbox sets up in no time, attaches firmly and directly to the front of the Slim 500 flag frame.
With the Eggcrate Grid, you gain more control of a light source's beam by covering the front of the softbox with the grid, virtually eliminating spill. The 30° grid feathers the light creating an attractive shadow, separating the rest of the body and the background. This strong directionality can be used to add high key depth for fashion images, and emphasise the model facial structure as well as the eyes, lips, nose, and chin. The lightweight accessory attaches to the rim of the softbox with a Velcro that follows the perimeter of the grid. Makes you look like a lightmaster.
The box boasts aluminum support rods, for a sturdy, soft performance, and it stores small enough to fit in the included flat 12" case.
