I am a commercial photographer and have been using Chimera softboxes almost exclusively for 30 years. They are unquestionably the best in my opinion, and this strip bank is no exception. The only other piece of advice on this I have, (other than buy it), is to consider getting a Chimera quick release speedring with it. This strip bank has fairly thick and strong poles which are a bit hard to disconnect. Not a must, but helps.

I love this soft box. The quality of the fabric is superb and the diffusion gives a beautiful soft light. Highly recommended!

Chimera soft boxes are top notch. Wouldn't buy any other brand. I've had them for years and they keep their color and shape, and don't rip or fall apart.

New design, better than the original. There is less fabric, firmer frame, though there is the possibility of light spill from the rear.

Used for event at local residence for girls birthday party. Kept basically at head level for candid and selfies for the girls. All came out wonderfully with good even coverage despite most of the kids around 2 to 6 foot from the light bank. Lovely wrap around, even lighting. I used this because of space concerns. My choice was a 3 foot octobox, but space considerations were strong concern, I was hoping this would work OK, but instead it exceeded my expectations. I need to get a couple of more to perfect portrait work. New fan of this type box. Have used strictly round/octoboxes in the past.
