Kung Fu Grip

This attachment allows use of a grip head to mount Chimera speed rings (and modifiers) to a light stand. The weight of the modifier is supported entirely on the stand, and on the light. With the grip head, one can crank the mount, achieving the rock-sloid fung fu grip on your modifier.

Best way to mount large softboxes

I originally got one of these to comply with the instructions to mount the large Octaplus. Now I use it for the medium and large rectangular light boxes as well. I would not be without at least a couple of these. Like everything Chimera builds it is sturdier than european hardware. It is just more support than hanging a large or deep softbox off one of the ever smaller and more plastic variety of light heads. It requires a grip head to mount to a light stand or boom arm. This combination supplies a very solid mount.
