So glad I finally got them.

I got to use these when a stranger at the Grand Canyon offer them to me to see a spot at the bottom of the canyon. I couldn? believe the focus and clarity on such a compact binocular. My sons gave me a gift card to Adorama for Fathers Day and I bought them. Great for any use. Highly rated for bird watching.

"Love these binoculars."

Bought this product as a gift to my 10yr. old granddaughter who is a new birdwatcher. They are perfect for her - light weight, easy to focus, ap- propriate magnification, with a wide field of view. These would also be good for adults. Economically priced; and a great value. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Love them

These are my first binoculars ever and I am so impressed! The instruction booklet made it very easy to adjust them. Now I just want to look at everything through them. They're so clear. I'm so amazed. They also feel very nice and high quality. I would recommend these to other amateur hobbyists like myself!

Strong and Clear

Very powerful and clear. It is definitely strong enough to reach out and see the things you can barely notice with the naked eye. We look forward to find some wild life when we travel out west this summer.

Great binoculars!

They’re clear and bright, and seem to be a good magnification for birding. And on the first outing, we got caught in the rain, so I can confirm that they’re waterproof. Also feel very stout and well built.

Read above

This is not my first purchase from Adorama. In fact, my first purchase, and 8-inch telescope, was made in 1988. Your professional staff, business model, reputation, and helpful customer service, has always been exceptional. I received my latest product just three days after it was ordered. I was thrilled at the condition in which it arrived, the quality of the product, and the timeliness and professional manner you continually exhibit… which is your well-earned trademark. I have recommended Adorama to dozens of amateurs, as well as professionals, who expressed interest in potential optics purchases, since 1988. Thank you, Adorama, for another positive purchasing experience.

Great details and color, but obstructed view

Immediately when I look through it for the first time a large part of the view was blocked, I don't know if this is normal for this prism type but I've always used the other prism type of binocular, and I've always been able to see the view completely. I can see details and color very well with these. I will have to see if I can find a solution to this.

Great compact binos

Excellent quality binoculars, with sharp, clear focus, and good range of vision. I use them mainly for birding and they are perfect for that purpose. They're solidly built; just a little on the heavy side for the small size, but not too heavy. I'm confident that they are durable enough to last a long time. I'm very happy with my purchase, especially for such a good price.

Fantastic Binoculars!

These binoculars are all that I hoped they would be and more! First time use was birding. Saw an American Kestrel on a tree limb across a freeway. It is one of the smallest hawks. I thought it was a HUGE hawk at first. Lol Also, saw a butterfly open its wings very close to me on the ground. Saw every detail of a beautiful blue on the top of its wings! Just note that if someone has very small hands and has to close the binoculars completely like I do (I am a woman) a Celestron tripod adapter cannot be attached. However, that is a minor issue for me.

Best binoculars for the money

I've purchased several pair of these since I keep on giving them away to friends. I did a lot of research before selecting these. I did not have a budget (even considered Swarovskis or Nikon Monarch 7s). After a lot of research, I found that these were as good or better than most binoculars in the $ range. Clearly there are better binoculars but, for the price, this is the best cost/quality balance. As for performance, great off center focusing, no yellow tinting from cheap coatings found in others in the price range, minimal purple fringing, great off center focus, reasonable depth of field, and extremely good clarity. Everyone should have a pair of these. Excellent.

Good clarity, nice to know they can withstand rain if I get caught out. Primary use for bird watching. Have astronomy binos but these are nice as they are lighter weight.

Great glass at the best price.

My first set of birding binoculars. I have been wanting some for a long time, but was overwhelmed with all the types and price ranges. Finally I read a nice review from the Cornell Labs and found these here at the best price with free shipping even. We love these binoculars, they are clear, bright, not too heavy, waterproof and easy to use. We are watching a bald eagle nest with new chicks here in our neighborhood in SWFL. I came back and bought a tripod adapter, also for the best price. great store.

A great entry-mid level birding binocular!

A really solid pair of bins. Small enough to carry around daily but not so small that you sacrifice quality or features. It also won't break the bank. After comparing many other options I settled on these because they had everything I was looking for: waterproof, BaK4 prism, long eye relief, fog-proof, and fully multi-coated lenses. For the price (which depending on where you look, can be as long as $), with all those features, plus a carry case, strap, and objective and eye piece protectors...it was a no brainer for me. After using them for a few weeks I can confidently say that these great! I have no major complaints. My only minor issues have been: -They are a little heavy for me, so my arms get tired after awhile (but that's more a result of my puny arms). -The neck strap attachment points can dig into my hands a little depending on how I hold them. -There's slight chromatic aberration visible when focusing on far away birds against a bright background. None of those things are a deal breaker though, especially not at this price point. Overall, they are very solidly built, have a smooth zoom action, and the image quality is wonderful for everyday birding.

Tremendous Value

Great binoculars at a very modest price. Optics and construction comparable to glasses costing 3-4 times as much. I have a "good" pair of binos that cost over ($) a few years ago, and these are just as good.

Great Pair of Binoculars; Especially for the Price

Pros: Feel well-built, sharp, bright, advertised as water- proof and fog-proof, nitrogen filled, rubber-like covers for both ends, separate neck strap for binoculars as well as soft carrying case with shoulder strap, decent instruction manual and warranty. Cons: On the heavy side to me, but not prohibitively so. Note: Tried $200 Nikon and $150 on sale Occulus binoculars at Bass Pro and the Celestron was brighter than the Nikon and looked/felt like the Occulus

Excellent Value & Very Pleased

Bright image, light weight, wide viewing angle, close focus, smooth focus adjustment with comfortable range, seemingly well made, excellent value, easy to recommend to friends and strangers. I'll be surprised to hear they disappoint.

Birding Binoculars

By Cookie A.

When we joined our local Audubon we had no idea how inadequate our binoculars were. Lacking funds for the more expensive brands some people carried, we researched and decided between 2 brands. Because Celestron was voted best by Cornell Lab of Ornithology, that was our choice and we are very happy with them. They are light enough to hold up for the time it takes to find and see the birds, easily adjustable, non fogging and very clear. Now we can see whiskers and eyelashes and even whether th...

Celestron's award-winning Nature DX 12x50mm binoculars are the perfect companion for your next outdoor adventure. The views through Nature DX rival those of more expensive binoculars at a price to fit your budget.

This versatile, all-around binocular is an excellent choice for the trail, the stadium, the arena, or just about anywhere you want a close-up view of the action without sacrificing brightness or detail. It's an especially great companion for nature observation and bird watching, with phase-coated BaK-4 prisms and a close focus of just 8.2 feet.

Coatings and Prisms
Nature DX features fully multi-coated optics. A binocular is "fully multi-coated" when all air-to-glass surfaces are coated with multiple layers of anti-reflectivity coatings so that the maximum amount of light passes through the glass to the eye.

The prisms inside Nature DX consist of high-quality BaK-4 glass with phase coatings applied so that more light reflects off their internal faces and passes through to the eye.

Taken together, the fully multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission for the remarkably bright, highly detailed images.

The Body
A durable rubber armored polycarbonate housing protects your Nature DX binoculars from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through Nature DX is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers alike, thanks to the durable twist-up eyecups. Twist through multiple click stops to find the position that works best for you.

What's more, the binocular is fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging of the lenses. Nature DX can stand up to even the harshest outdoor conditions.

Perfect for a Variety of Uses
The Nature DX 12x50mm offers 12x magnification, perfect for up-close views of distant subjects. Despite its higher magnification, this binocular maintains a close focus of just 8.2 feet, making it a great choice for viewing nearby birds, butterflies, plants, and more. The 50mm objective lenses are large enough to transmit lots of light, while still being lightweight enough to use without a tripod. Of course, the binoculars are also tripod-adaptable (adapter sold separately) for extended viewing sessions or Digi scoping (photography through the eyepiece).

Ways to Observe
Carry your Nature DX with the comfortable included strap. It's also tripod-adaptable, so you can mount it on any standard photographic tripod for extended viewing or Digi scoping (photography through the eyepiece). The tripod adapter is sold separately. The binocular also includes a protective padded nylon case for storage and transport.
