This advanced telescope is the latest addition to Celestron's renowned computerized equatorial mount series, designed with the needs of backyard astronomers and remote imagers in mind. The innovative CGX-L mount is capable of carrying Celestron's largest optical tubes with ease, thanks to its exceptional load capacity to weight ratio and compact design. It features larger 144mm diameter worm wheels for smoother operation and more accurate driving of heavier loads, and a longer 270mm dovetail saddle to support larger optical tubes. This sophisticated telescope is equipped with an Aplanatic EdgeHD optical system that reduces spherical aberration and delivers sharp, detailed images of celestial objects. The 11-inch aperture allows more light to enter the telescope, producing brighter, clearer images, while the 2-inch eyepiece diameter provides a wide field of view for easy navigation of the night sky. The CGX-L 1100 EdgeHD is also designed for remote operation, with features such as home and limit optical sensors, easier polar alignment adjustments, and improved cable management. The mount includes internal cabling for worry-free remote operation, power input, and lower accessory ports that remain stationary while the mount slews to avoid snags. The telescope's versatile design accommodates two focal ratios: native f/10 or ultra-fast f/2 imaging with a removable secondary mirror and third-party accessories. The aluminum optical tube features vents with an integrated 95-micron mesh filter, allowing hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror. The CGX-L 1100 EdgeHD also supports WiFi and wireless operation accessories such as StarSense AutoAlign and SkyPortal WiFi Module (sold separately). The new accessory tray holds three 1.25" and two 2" eyepieces, and there's an upright stand for your smartphone or tablet.
