Starsense & 'scope were on backorder. Tripod & Skyportal arrived on-time, but tripod was missing parts (accessory tray knob & bushing). Took a month to get those parts (had to be shipped from Celestron). Starsense won't ship until September (ordered in March). Telescope was shipped, then apparently lost-in-transit. It was "re-shipped" (I suspect it was the original 'scope, sent back to Adorama by UPS). When it finally arrived, there was a HUGE hole in the side of the box (documented by me & by the UPS guy.) I'm *hoping* that the optical tube wasn't damaged, but I won?t know until everything arrives and is tested/calibrated. In my opinion, NOTHING should have shipped, until EVERY PART of my order was in stock! IMO, these issues reflect badly on both Celestron & Adorama.

What can I say, it's a CPC deluxe 1100 HD. That should speak for itself. If you have the funds and can handle the weight, it is by far the best (manageable) telescope in the Celestron arsenal. By far! Adorama has excellent customer service and some of the best prices out there so I wouldn't think of buying anywhere else.

The tripod arrived on time. It's very stable and well suited for the CPC 925 SCT Scope. I have it securely mounted on a moveable platform and together can easily move tripod, scope and platform to any location around my home. Although the scope is heavy, it easily marries to the tripod. So far, I am very happy with both the tripod and scope. Highly recommended.

I love my new scope. Just make sure you know how big and heavy it is. It's right at my limits. Finding an affordable case was hard, but SBK makes one that was just right! All I need now is time and clear skies!

I bought this scope as a replacement for an 8" Newtonian f6 telescope that was damaged in a fire, a scope that I had used for 30 years. This is a big step up. It is heavy, and it does need a wheeled case for transport, but it's worth it. Superb optics, finely crafted, good in every way for both bright planets and deep sky objects. Quickly delivered by Adorama. Highly recommended!

Gave myself one after retiring after 46 years in Psychology. I've had two previous scopes and wanted a good one with clear optics and a steady mount. Did I ever luck out!! The mount is a "hoss" and I wouldn't want to run into it with a Hummer (for the sake of the Hummer). It is HEAVY, but I need the exercise. The optics are crisp and the views are magnificent. The GoTo feature is a very useful tool and easy to align.

This is definitely a professional grade scope that offers even the beginner a world of features that does not overwhlem you. Easy to use and pretty much self-explanatory. This scope does it all for the hobby astronomist. The goto feature is dead on and the data base so expansive that you can literally stay busy for months! The quality of build of Celestron scopes are second to none. This scope line is built like a battleship. The XLT optic coatings are wonderful. If you are looking for a scope with GPS and lots of features this is the one.

Having this in my observatory has meant that I spend much more time looking AT instead of looking FOR. Optics are spot on and I have cranked it to the 60X/in on one occasion. It IS heavy and and you would want a JMI wheeled case to travel with it. It points well, even with a one object align. Two is better and three...Only regret is I didn't get one sooner to replace my 10" newtonian.

An excellent scope for the money. GOTO works perfectly and tracks objects flawlessly. Do yourself a favor and get a 24mm Televue panoptic eyepiece and you will feel like you are swimming in the Orion Nebula. The tripod is extremely stable which is important when viewing Deep Space Objects. Planetary viewing is a joy. The only regret is I didn't purchase this a year ago.Celestron has really hit a home run with this scope![...] Great scope!NOTE: The key eyepieces for an SCT are 24mm, 13mm and 9mm. The addition of these key eyepieces will greatly enhance your viewing experience. The stock eyepiece (40mm ex-cel) is a decent low magnification eyepiece which I quickly replaced.

simply an amazing scope,. Ive seen things thru this telescope i might of missed with anything else. the goto functions flawlessly. its easy to setup and align. quality construction and optics. ive had it for 3 months and it was in perfect collimation to begin with and it still is. ive pretty much made it all the way thru the messiers that are in my night sky. even with the light pollution ive seen all but a couple. the double cluster and wild duck are amazing. the swan and dumbell nebulas awe me. the blue snowball and ring nebula are also awe inspiring thru this scope. its somewhat more portable than its larger siblings. ive decided to do some astrophotography with it and have mounted a 80mm apo to guide or do wide fields off the cpc. i think its a keeper ;)

Very easy to set up and use, esp. for a scope of this size. Cords wrapping and binding around tripod is a problem; could be eliminated if jacks were placed differently.Great optics and "bang for the buck"[...]

The largest aperture of the CPC Deluxe HD series, the CPC Deluxe 1100 HD telescope has the most light-gathering power; almost 90% more than the 8" model and over 40% more than the 9.25". And best of all, the CPC Deluxe 1100 HD combines Celestron's newly designed fork mount with its superior EdgeHD optical system. With sophisticated software features like the Hibernate function, the CPC can maintain its star alignment night after night without needing to be re-aligned, making it an ideal instrument for a permanent observatory facility. Even with an aperture of over 1500 times the light gathering power than the unaided eye, the CPC Deluxe Series is still one of Celestron's most portable astronomical telescopes. With its conveniently located carrying handles and an instrument weight of 66 lbs, this telescope is portable enough to setup in your backyard or take with you to your favorite dark sky location. The CPC Deluxe 1100 HD is at home as a superb visual instrument or with optional Pro Wedge and CCD cameras, as a serious astro imager's tool. Turn this scope to planets and see amazing detail on the surface of Jupiter; see Cassini's Division in the rings of Saturn, and resolve details on the surface of Mars and even distant globular clusters
New Optical Design The EdgeHD optical system combines all of the compact power popularized by the SCT with an improved high definition optical system for wide field, astrograph quality images. As a visual instrument, EdgeHD optics deliver pinpoint images even with your widest field eyepiece. You can search for all of the Messier Catalog objects, and see hundreds of other NGC, IC and Caldwell objects with amazing clarity. For astro imaging, EdgeHD optics produce aberration-free images across your favorite CCD or DSLR camera. All EdgeHD optics are designed to produce an extremely flat focal plane precise enough to match the strict tolerances of the largest commercial CCD detectors, allowing stars to be in tight focus to the very edge of the chip
Internal GPS The CPC Deluxe HD Series' internal G PS receiver automatically downloads the date and time from orbiting satellites and pinpoints its exact location on Earth. This eliminates the need for you to manually enter the date, time, longitude and latitude.
Celestron's Revolutionary SkyAlign Once the CPC's internal GPS has established the telescope's position, aligning the telescope is as easy as 1-2-3! Simply locate and use the hand control to manually point (slew) the telescope to three bright celestial objects. You do not need to know the names of the stars you may even pick the Moon or bright planets! Celestron's NeXStar software technology will model the night sky to determine the position of every star, planet and celestial object above the horizon. Once aligned, the remote hand control allows direct access to each of the celestial catalogs in its user-friendly database.
Celestial Object Database The CPC database contains over 40,000 celestial objects including Messier objects, the Caldwell Catalog, as well as NGC Galaxies, nebulae and planets. User-definable filter limits make navigating through this expansive database quicker and easier. Filter Limits let you filter out objects that are outside of your local horizon (ie, if trees or mountains were in the way). There's also "Solar Sys Align" that lets you align on the Sun or Moon for daytime observing -- it is easy to use this to see planets or bright stars in the day.
Luminos Eyepiece CPC HD comes with Celestron's top of the line, wide field eyepieces. you get an incredible combination of power and wide field of view. Plus each Luminos eyepiece is optimized to deliver pin point images when used with a flat field telescope.
Fastar Versatility All EdgeHD optical tubes are equippe d with a removable secondary mirror for fast f/2 CCD imaging. Not only does imaging in the FASTAR configuration allow for exposure times that are 25 times faster than at f/10, but also yields a field of view five times wider. A perfect combination for imaging your favorite wide field objects in a fraction of the time. (FASTAR imaging requires a third party lens assembly in place of the secondary mirror).
