Utilizing real-time data analysis, the controller intelligently warms your optical equipment to the precise temperature needed to prevent dew accumulation without unnecessary power expenditure.Equipped with four controllable ports, this versatile unit allows you to simultaneously manage multiple dew heaters. Whether you're heating a primary optical tube, a secondary scope, an eyepiece, or another essential accessory, the Smart DewHeater and Power Controller 4X ensures that each component receives the right amount of warmth.Beyond dew prevention, this device serves as a comprehensive power management system for your telescope setup. It features four 12V DC output ports to power a range of devices, including your mount, focus motor, and camera. One of these ports offers adjustable voltage from 3V to 12V, catering to devices with varying power requirements.For added convenience, the controller includes three powered USB ports, creating a USB 3.2 hub that simplifies cable management by allowing you to connect and power multiple USB devices with a single cable. Each USB port can be individually powered on or off, providing you with control over your connected devices directly through Celestron's CPWI software or compatible hand controls.At the core of the Smart DewHeater and Power Controller 4X lies a robust microprocessor that processes sensor data to automatically regulate the dew heaters. The integrated environmental sensor monitors ambient temperature and humidity, while the thermistors, when used with compatible Celestron Dew Heater Rings or third-party dew heater bands (with the addition of Celestron's Thermistor), provide accurate temperature readings of your optics.For those who prefer manual adjustments or wish to monitor environmental data, the controller can be connected to a Celestron telescope's hand control or a PC. It is compatible with NexStar+ or StarSense hand controls running the latest firmware, as well as the Celestron CPWI telescope control software that accompanies every Celestron mount.The Smart DewHeater and Power Controller 4X operates on a 12V DC battery and can manage a maximum power of 240W (20A max current @ 12V DC). Its durable metal housing encases a cooling fan to protect the internal electronics, and the device is safeguarded by resettable electronic fuses against excessive current draw.The controller's unique industrial design features a bridge that houses status LEDs and environmental sensors, strategically placed to avoid heat interference from other components. The LEDs serve as indicators for the device's status and provide warnings for power issues, with the option to dim them for dark-sky observation.Mounting options include integrated dovetail clamps for CGE or CG-5 dovetails, or a strap for tripod leg attachment, offering flexibility in setup.
