Shopper : Purchased the Celestron 9.25" Dovetail Bar for CGE with Celestron 125mm Guidescope Rings to piggy back my Celestron 102mm refractor on my C9.25. When I tried to mount the dovetail to the scope, the dovetail appears to be too short. I can only get the two rear screws in but hot the front screw. Is this correct? Anyone have any insight?SCOTT D : The only thing I can think of is you have the dovetail from the C8. The distance from the back 2 holes to the front hole is aprox. 16.5 in. for the 9.25 scope. DANIEL S : Thanks for the feedback; I have found that in July 2006, the 9.25” OTA length was shortened. So the new bar on older tubes will be too short for the tube. When I was at NEAF last weekend, I saw this system for mounting a piggy back scope, and really liked it. I have never had a compatibly issue before and never thought to as about the size.ROBERT W : You definitely should be able to attach the dovetail at both front and rear end. I had no problem mounting mine to my Celestron C9.25 SCT. Perhaps you were shipped the wrong dovetail??
