The solar lenses are great for viewing the sun, and the chart has good general information about the 2017 eclipse; however, the 2X power was unrealistic. One of the pair had mis-aligned magnifying lenses so I took them out. I reinstalled just the solar lenses and compared it to the second set of glasses (unmodified). There was basically no difference between the two. These were great for viewing the solar eclipse, but the 2X power was misleading.

Ordered them before the eclipse, they arrived quickly. I confirmed several times that they were safe to use. Family used them to watch the solar eclipse from a beach; made for a great experience. Saving them for the next eclipse in 2024.

Served its purpose during the partial eclipse. 2x magnification was much appreciated and the build was light and portable, but you end up seeing the sun in double vision. Not sure if I was doing something wrong but I couldn't get the two lenses to align so that I only saw one sun.

These worked great during the eclipse, 2x magnification isn't going to make a ton of difference but it was enough to be noticeable versus regular viewing glasses. They held up well and should be useful again in 2024.

These were great eclipse viewers. You have to hold them to your eyes rather than wear them, but it is probably better not to be constantly looking at an eclipse anyway.

There were unusable and therefore a waste of money. If you looked through them, direct sunlight could come in from the front corners. Even making sure that your eyes were completely behind the back of the viewers, direct sun could be seen. Tried to tape them and make them work but it didn't work. Very disappointing and spent money on a product that I couldn't even use.

Nice kit with map and everything, Seemed pretty good, but lenses kept falling out of both pairs causing problems specially right when time is valuable near totality, would have rather had non-breakable glasses

The magnification was helpful.

These worked great for viewing the sun outside of the totality. The 2x magnification helped it be a little bit bigger and easier to see details. Would buy again!

The 2x magnification really adds a lot to the viewing experience. During the eclipse our friends wanted to borrows our glasses because their's did not have the magnification. They worked great.

One of them was completely unusable. The other I managed to put together enough to use it but barely.

We used the Clestron Viewers in Carbondale during the 2017 Eclipse. They were great. My wife used them over her glasses

Hard to hold without the cardboard blocking the lenses. Out of focus

Very difficult to see through these - had to keep our hands cupped around our eyes to keep from seeing reflection of our faces. Arms got very tired. Also had trouble focusing - found it easier to see with one eye closed. Magnification sounded cool but didn't make much difference - certainly not enough to justify holding them for hours.

I purchased 6 Pairs of them to pass out among my friends for the eclipse. I loved them and all the feedback I got from my friends was positive. Several where in groups and reported your product was superior, and passed around within the group. In place of the lesser glasses others had.

They worked very well BUT just after totality one of the eye pieces fell apart. Since I had watched up to that point, I just retreated inside and watched the changes in the light, but not the re-emergence of the sun.

These are actually quite nice solar viewers! I was pleasantly surprised because they are studier than I expected yet very lightweight. They're something you can fold up and put in a briefcase or backpack and sneak a peek at the sun during lunch or while hiking.

You have to get the lenses in-line by bending the cardboard frame or you will have double vision. Once you acheive this they produce a good image. What you expect for a couple bucks.
