Good mounting plate

I am mounting a small telescope that I have had for years on an Advances VX mount with tripod. This works very well.

It does what it's designed to.

Retrofit an old Celestron CG-4 mount using this and an ADM V-style saddle. Now I can move my 4-inch refractor between the old CG-4 mount and my other mount which is a AVX Go-To mount. Works Great!

The Celestron CG-5 Universal Mounting Plate is a basic accessory that allows you to attach a wide range of telescope accessories to the mounting platform of an Advanced CG-5 or Advanced VX mount. It will accept standard mounting rings, spotting scopes, and cameras. The mounting plate is drilled with several of the most common hole types and patterns, including 3/8"-16, 5/16"-18, and 1/4"-20.
