Yes, you are correct-- You can use the PogoPlug to host your own files, without any fees, but you will be depending on PogoPlug-dot-com for cloud-like access to those home-based files, from wherever you are on the internet. They also offer off-your-site storage for $4.95 per month, but that is a different service.WALTER A : Yes, that's correct. No additional fees needed.GERARD C : No fees. But you do need to register the device online to use it.DON T : No fees. That is correct. It is part of your network that can be access on the web via PG's free 5GB account.. Still not working . . .

Have had for a couple of weeks and have not been able to get it to work at all. Fails to connect anything. About ready to give up.

Old solution still keeping up with new tech

Working great to provided file access to my local home business network and being able to retrieve files outside the office works just like being on the cloud

I love this little Device!

The Pogoplug far exceeded my expectations. I was surprised it was wireless, and the setup was so easy. Transferring files between work and home, has never been so easy. The software was also very easy. I could not be happier. No more thumb drives, or burning DVD's to save my files. My only criticism is the description left me a bit confused. The product is itself is awesome.
